• This document describes an overview of an
Internet of Things based queue management
system that saves customer wasted time and
improves offices efficiency.
4. Solution Workflow
1- Customer get a ticket from the queue printer.
2- Queue printer sent the latest ticket number to the cloud
server.
3- Old customer get served and counter display incremented.
4- Display counter send the new value to the cloud server.
5- Cloud server update values and informations based on:
queue size = Last Queue printer value – Last display
counter value.
6- Remote customer connect to the connected office web
service via web portal or via mobile application to get
information about the office customers traffic, latency and
the nearest less empty office.
5. Advantages of the solution
• Provide useful information to customer without need to
move (information about the office customers traffic,
latency and the nearest less empty office).
• Archive and provide updated statistics on daily number
of customers for each office, frequency , peak hours...
• Distribute the load fairly between offices offering the
same service
• Improve staff efficiency and productivity
