How Craigslist Turned Me From Job Seeker to Online Entrepreneur
Man was I naive when I first discovered the world of internet marketing! I mean, you could have told me the moon
was made out of cheese and I would’ve believed it!
It didn’t take very long, though, for me to
pull my head out of my a$$ and realize
was required to be successful in internet
marketing, or any business for that
matter! So before I share how the heck to
make your internet marketing business
work, I’ll share the hilariously sad story of
how I got started in this industry!
I was actually job hunting on craigslist. I
had just completed my masters degree at
Northern Arizona University. I was
searching the Spokane, Wa. area
because my wife and I have been
dreaming of moving out of this
godforsaken desert and living in Coeur d’
Alene, Id. after falling in love with the
place from visiting her parents.
So here I am searching for openings at
the local colleges to pick up some part-time teaching gigs. I don’t even remember the subject line exactly, but one ad
in particular caught my attention. It had absolutely nothing to do with teaching or colleges. I just remember the ad
said something about how crazy easy this little system works to make money online part time!
How fast can you say hook, line and sinker?
So I clicked on the link, was taken to a capture page, entered my email address (I actually created a second gmail
account because of my fear of a bombardment of spam to my business email account), and then watched a 45
minute video presentation!
It was a system called Instant Payday Network, developed by Jeff Buchanan who is actually a great guy and a top
producer in Empower Network. In hindsight, Instant Payday Network was (is) a great system for beginners because it
teaches the very basics of internet and affiliate marketing and makes it pretty simple to earn commissions online.
In the video, though, Jeff walked through his process of how to simply post some ads on craigslist and then sit back
2. and watch the money pour in! So I posted, and I waited…and waited…and waited. I
think it was about 3 weeks of posting every other day on craigslist before I finally made
my first sale and commission, and I realized that either this guy in the video was totally
full of crap, or I was missing something! So it turns out I was missing something
(nothing new there). I missed the part where Jeff explained that craigslist was just one
of several ways to generate traffic to my website!
I soon learned that I needed to incorporate some important, but easy, traffic-getting
strategies that could be mostly automated, and that while free strategies were ideal, I
needed to be prepared to invest in some paid advertising in order to scale up my traffic
numbers!
So that’s how I got my start in this beloved industry, and proof that you CAN catch the attention of people not even
looking to get into work-from-home related opportunities with a simple, well-placed and well-written ad!
Now that I’ve had some time to educate myself on internet marketing, I couldn’t be happier with the amount of growth
I’ve enjoyed this past year. Going from scraping a few commissions together to make $200 a month to now
averaging $3000 has got this marketer pumped! Check out some of my income proofs below:

This one is pretty self-explanatory. All-Time earnings continues to grow!
3. My best month in iPAS2 earned me over $6800! Woo hoo!
May 17, 2015: Crossing $20,000 All-Time !!! (in just 8 months):
4. While these are certainly not the best results – many iPAS2 members have earned much more in much less time – I
am perfectly content for these reasons:
I only put in one to two hours per day
I still operate my commercial real estate brokerage full-time
I spend next to nothing on paid advertising and still get plenty of automated traffic from free marketing
strategies
The system does all the heavy lifting for me: all the telling and selling, commission tracking, etc. My only job is
to bring people in the door!
My very realistic projection is that my $3000/month income will grow to $10,000 within the next 6 months. When this
happens, you can bet there will be a big celebration in our house. We will not only celebrate the milestone achieved,
but also the fact that a new journey will begin to reach $20,000 per month!
However, what is probably most rewarding is seeing former team members continue to see my consistent results,
and decide to rejoin and begin transforming their lives with focus and determination to achieve similar results! Are
