INTRODUCTION
 Today we are using the natural resources in a
environmental way for satisfying our need and greed.
Due to this there has been an great impact on the
environment.
• We can’t reverse the damage that has been done but we
need to control it and try to reduce it. For this we must
find a sustainable way and implement it.
• Non biodegradable waste is produced and consumed on a
large scale, among this plastic is one of the cheap
product which is one of the main constituent of pollution.
.
WHAT IS PLASTIC ?
WHY USE TO PLASTIC IN CONSTRUCTION
WORK. ?
• The use of plastic is increasing day by day. The consumption of
plastic in India alone was 185 lakh tonnes in 2018. The
consumption is expected to reach around 205 lakh tonnes in
2020.
• The energy required for producing 1Kg of plastic is around 62-
108 MJ (1MJ requires 0.538kg of coal) depending on the type of
plastic which is very much higher as compared to other materials.
For e.g. Production of iron from iron ore requires 20-25 MJ of
energy.
• Recycling needs additional energy to treat the materials for
producing something useable. The recycling needs around 35-64
MJ of energy. Moreover, the recycling process produces
wastewater and air pollutants.
• Waste Plastics Are Used For Filling Up Landfills Which Clogging
Water Bodies And Causing Serious Environmental Consequences.
• So The Best Solution is Reusing For Which No Additional Energy
Is Required And Does Not Contribute To Pollution.
• On The Other Hand, World Human Population is Continuously
Increasing So More Houses Are Needed For Construction. Now A
Days, It is Difficult To Make Own House’s For Poor People By
Using Costly Construction Material.
WHY USE TO PLASTIC IN CONSTRUCTION
WORK ?
STUDY ON PET BOTTLES
Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) is a thermoplastic
polymer resin of polyester family.
Used in synthetic fibers, beverage, liquid containers.
80 billion plastic bottles manufactured each year.
60 billions are not recycled.
For each ton of bottle recycled 1.7 tons of CO2
emissions prevented.
Source of PET bottles
 PET bottles are seen everywhere.
 Consumption of PET
 Commercial users – 1-170kg/day
 Hotels- 7.5kg/day
 Caterers 11.75kg/day.
 Can purchase from scrap dealers at Rs.1 per bottle.

TEST ANALYSIS OF THE MATERIAL TO
DIFF-2 METHODOLOGY
 Soil Sedimentation test
 A sedimentation test is important for fine particles of
soil. By this test we can know about presence of
different particles in the soil sample
 In first step we takes cylindrically transparent jar and
bottle of at least ½ litre capacity that is filled approx.
¼ with soil and ¾ water.
 Second step is to seal the top of transparent bottle
with the help of hand and shake well the bottle.
After 45 minutes same process should repeat.
 Soil Moisture content test
 This method covers the laboratory determination of
the moisture content of a soil as a Percentage of its
oven-dried weight. The method may be applied to
fine, medium and coarse grained soils for particle
sizes from 2 mm to >10 mm
 The method is based on removing soil moisture by
oven-drying a soil sample until the weight remains
constant. The moisture content (%) is calculated
from the sample weight before and after drying
 A thermostatically controlled oven preferably of the
forced-draught type, capable of maintaining a
temperature between 105 °C and 110 °C.
Moisture Content % =
𝑊2−𝑊3
𝑊3−𝑊1
× 100
 The PETE Bottle Compressive Strength Test
 Compressive strength test is a test in which we take
out compressive strength of a bottle brick. in this
experiment we applied load on single bottle which
performed on the Ultimate Testing Machine (UTM).
By this test we know that how much load can bear a
single brick. And failure limit can also be
determined.
Compressive strength =
𝑀𝐴𝑋𝐼𝑀𝑈𝑀 𝐿𝑂𝐴𝐷 (𝑘𝑁)
𝐶𝑅𝑂𝑆𝑆 𝑆𝐸𝐶𝑇𝐼𝑂𝑁 𝐴𝑅𝐸𝐴(𝑚𝑚2)
Ultimate Testing Machine (UTM)
DURABILITY
The plastic bottles are known for their durability.
This type of construction is more durable than that of
brick construction.
 The bottles can last as long as 300 years(undoubtedly
longer than the cement used to bind the bottles together
in the walls).
COST ANALYSIS
 The cost of this construction can reduce 50%
cost of house made of concrete and bricks.
ADVANTAGES OF BRICKS
 Low cost
 Non-Brittle
 Absorbs abrupt shock loads
 Bio climatic
 Re-usable
 Less construction material
 Easy to build
 Green Construction
DISADVANTAGES
 It is un-decomposable and in destructible.
 When it is melted it releases a compound gas which is
very harmful to health and environment.
 It weakens the ozone layer.
 Most plastic is produce from the oil and the world is
running short of oil.
 The threatening disadvantage is pollution
REMEDIES OF DISADVANTADES OF
PLASTIC TO REDUCE
 Now A day renewable plastic is manufacturing by oil
by products and Natural gases, so this proves to be
better in the Future generations.
 Scientists are now to developing plastic that are made
from vegetable oil and organic matter.
 This plastic is more likely to be degradable and so it
will be safe in future.
CONCLUSION ……
 The Bottle which are required for the plastic bottle
construction are mostly sourced from Restaurants ,
Hotels , Dhaba , Home and Near Tourist Places, so the
300 million bottle that Discarded each year in India
along to literally finding new Home instead of land or
the ocean.
 To using this simple Technology, these houses are
climate because the PETE bottle brick Buffer the house
from intense heat and cool.
 And 6 degree centigrade temperature between different
outer side to inner side in PETE Bottle houses.
 It is also used in the place known for the Violence like
Kashmir and using in bunker because the houses are
completely bullet proof.
 These house in construction work to require low cost
and easily to constructing, so this houses are called
ECO-TECHNOLOGY HOUSING

  • 5. • Waste Plastics Are Used For Filling Up Landfills Which Clogging Water Bodies And Causing Serious Environmental Consequences. • So The Best Solution is Reusing For Which No Additional Energy Is Required And Does Not Contribute To Pollution. • On The Other Hand, World Human Population is Continuously Increasing So More Houses Are Needed For Construction. Now A Days, It is Difficult To Make Own House’s For Poor People By Using Costly Construction Material. WHY USE TO PLASTIC IN CONSTRUCTION WORK ?
  • 6. STUDY ON PET BOTTLES Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) is a thermoplastic polymer resin of polyester family. Used in synthetic fibers, beverage, liquid containers. 80 billion plastic bottles manufactured each year. 60 billions are not recycled. For each ton of bottle recycled 1.7 tons of CO2 emissions prevented.
  • 7. Source of PET bottles  PET bottles are seen everywhere.  Consumption of PET  Commercial users – 1-170kg/day  Hotels- 7.5kg/day  Caterers 11.75kg/day.  Can purchase from scrap dealers at Rs.1 per bottle.

  • 19. TEST ANALYSIS OF THE MATERIAL TO DIFF-2 METHODOLOGY  Soil Sedimentation test  A sedimentation test is important for fine particles of soil. By this test we can know about presence of different particles in the soil sample  In first step we takes cylindrically transparent jar and bottle of at least ½ litre capacity that is filled approx. ¼ with soil and ¾ water.
  • 20.  Second step is to seal the top of transparent bottle with the help of hand and shake well the bottle. After 45 minutes same process should repeat.
  • 21.  Soil Moisture content test  This method covers the laboratory determination of the moisture content of a soil as a Percentage of its oven-dried weight. The method may be applied to fine, medium and coarse grained soils for particle sizes from 2 mm to >10 mm  The method is based on removing soil moisture by oven-drying a soil sample until the weight remains constant. The moisture content (%) is calculated from the sample weight before and after drying
  • 22.  A thermostatically controlled oven preferably of the forced-draught type, capable of maintaining a temperature between 105 °C and 110 °C. Moisture Content % = 𝑊2−𝑊3 𝑊3−𝑊1 × 100
  • 23.  The PETE Bottle Compressive Strength Test  Compressive strength test is a test in which we take out compressive strength of a bottle brick. in this experiment we applied load on single bottle which performed on the Ultimate Testing Machine (UTM). By this test we know that how much load can bear a single brick. And failure limit can also be determined. Compressive strength = 𝑀𝐴𝑋𝐼𝑀𝑈𝑀 𝐿𝑂𝐴𝐷 (𝑘𝑁) 𝐶𝑅𝑂𝑆𝑆 𝑆𝐸𝐶𝑇𝐼𝑂𝑁 𝐴𝑅𝐸𝐴(𝑚𝑚2)
  • 25. DURABILITY The plastic bottles are known for their durability. This type of construction is more durable than that of brick construction.  The bottles can last as long as 300 years(undoubtedly longer than the cement used to bind the bottles together in the walls).
  • 26. COST ANALYSIS  The cost of this construction can reduce 50% cost of house made of concrete and bricks.
  • 27. ADVANTAGES OF BRICKS  Low cost  Non-Brittle  Absorbs abrupt shock loads  Bio climatic  Re-usable  Less construction material  Easy to build  Green Construction
  • 28. DISADVANTAGES  It is un-decomposable and in destructible.  When it is melted it releases a compound gas which is very harmful to health and environment.  It weakens the ozone layer.  Most plastic is produce from the oil and the world is running short of oil.  The threatening disadvantage is pollution
  • 29. REMEDIES OF DISADVANTADES OF PLASTIC TO REDUCE  Now A day renewable plastic is manufacturing by oil by products and Natural gases, so this proves to be better in the Future generations.  Scientists are now to developing plastic that are made from vegetable oil and organic matter.  This plastic is more likely to be degradable and so it will be safe in future.
  • 30. CONCLUSION ……  The Bottle which are required for the plastic bottle construction are mostly sourced from Restaurants , Hotels , Dhaba , Home and Near Tourist Places, so the 300 million bottle that Discarded each year in India along to literally finding new Home instead of land or the ocean.  To using this simple Technology, these houses are climate because the PETE bottle brick Buffer the house from intense heat and cool.
  • 31.  And 6 degree centigrade temperature between different outer side to inner side in PETE Bottle houses.  It is also used in the place known for the Violence like Kashmir and using in bunker because the houses are completely bullet proof.  These house in construction work to require low cost and easily to constructing, so this houses are called ECO-TECHNOLOGY HOUSING
