The document discusses the environment and various types of pollution. It defines the natural environment as existing long-term and the built environment as that created by humans. Humans cause more pollution than natural factors like volcanoes through activities like burning fossil fuels, industrial processes, agriculture, and waste. This leads to issues like global warming, climate change, and health impacts. The summary also outlines the major types of pollution - air, water, noise - and their causes as well as effects on human health, other species, and the atmosphere. Citizens and governments need to work together to implement measures to control and reduce pollution through laws, skills training, reducing plastic use, and recycling.

Our Environment: Major Problems Like Pollution and Global Warming
1. Our Environment
An environment consists of all the things like the living and the non living
things in it. It can be classified as natural environment and
Built environment. One has to keep some points in mind while writing an
environment essay. One can define the natural environment as something
that has been in existence for long and the built is the one that has been
created by man. The natural atmosphere is being polluted due to the
unnatural factors. Humans cause more pollution than the environmental
causes like a volcanic eruption. It is the reckless and the caustic human
nature that is primarily responsible for the environmental pollution. Most of
the people are responsible for the pollution caused to the environment for
their own personal motives. write up on Environment must essentially have
the causes that affect the ecosystem. It is very difficult for the humans to
accept any change from the environment they are born and live in. The
Environment built by humans has become more noteworthy than the natural
ones in to days times. The primary reasons for issues like Global warming
Land degradation pollution etc are due the great dangers faced by everyone
as a result of the negligence.
2. Major Problems Faced By Environment
GLOBAL Pollution
Air Pollution
WARMING
Water Pollution
Noise Pollution
3. Global Warming
An average increase in
the temperature of the
atmosphere near the
Earth’s surface and in
the troposphere1, which
can contribute to
changes in global
climate patterns.
4. Cau
ses of fossil fuels
Burning
(Coal/Crude oil)
Power plants
generate electricity
Industrial processes
(E.g. manufacture of
Other greenhouse
gases emissionaluminu
cement, steel,
m)
Agriculture
Forestry
Other land uses
Waste management
8. Climate-sensitive diseases
•Increase the risk of some infectious
diseases
[particularly that appear in warm
areas; are spread by mosquitoes and
other insects]
E.g. Malaria, dengue fever, yellow
fever, encephalitis
•Algal blooms occur more frequently as
temperatures warm (particularly in
areas with polluted waters)
Diseases (e.g. cholera) accompanying
9. Air
Quality
An increase in the
concentration of
ground-level ozone
Damage lung tissue
Harmful for those
with asthma and
10. Measures on controlling the pro
Government
* Set some laws
to limit the
amount of
pollutants
produced by
factories
* Develop the
skills of using
11. Measures on controlling the prob
Citizens
* Reduce the use of
plastic bags as
burning plastic
emit CH4
* Recycle the
resources, e.g.
plastic
12. DEFINITION OF POLLUTION
•When Harmful
Substances
Contaminate the
Environment it is
Called Pollution.
•Pollution refers to the
very bad condition of
environment in terms
of quantity and quality.
13. What is Atmosphere
Atmosphere is the life blanket of Earth.
It is therefore essential that we know more about
the atmosphere and the ways in which it is
Polluted.
14. Air Pollution
Causes of Air Pollution
Major sources of Air Pollution
- Industries, Automobiles and Domestic fuels
-High Proportion of undesirable gases, such as sulphur dioxide and
carbon monoxide
Effects of Air Pollution
-Human health
-Animals
-Plants
-The atmosphere as a whole
15. Water Pollution
Causes of Water Pollution
•About 40% of Deaths worldwide are
caused by Water Pollution.
•Water Pollution is Caused by organic and
inorganic industrial wastes and affluent
discharged into rivers.
•Noise also causes anxiety stress reaction
and fright.
Effects of Water Pollution
•Diseases like Cholera
•Malaria
•Typhoid (spread during the rainy season )
Aquatic life gets destroyed
16. Noise Pollution
Causes of Noise Pollution
•Traffic Noise
•Air craft Noise
•Noise from construction and civil engineering works.
•Noise from the Industries.
•Noise from other sources.
Effects of Noise Pollution
•Hearing Loss
•High Blood Pressure
•Stress
•Sleep Disturbance
•Colour Blindness
18. Message
Dear friends our earth is in very bad
conditions we need to save our earth for this
we have to joint together and start avoiding
plastic bags, loudspeakers and all the materials
which cause pollution. If we start doing this
and advice peoples to do this it will help to us
and to our future generation also otherwise in
future we need to carry Oxygen cylinder for
survival………
