- Most difficult problems are communication issues
- Visual Studio is a rich environment for development, what you need are tools that provide a rich communication environment
- Mike Cohn taught a class at a hotel….

- Panic ensues….
- Miscommunication occurs when you use tools that aren’t up to the task—like email. Which is like using notepad to develop software.
- Humans use lots of tools—body language, inflection, expression….
- Words can be at odds with body language…. And when they are, we believe the body language.
- Humans believe body language…..
- We need rich communication tools like voice, video….
- In person being the richest of all….
- You can add tools that enhance interpersonal communication: postits, sharpies….
- White boards, paper prototyping, charts
- Hand-drawn charts…..
- Face to face communication is the richest team environment of all…
- So put down your mouse, and pick up your sharpie!
