I have contributed since 2009 to WordPress and related projects. I have done some great things for WordPress like rewriting the image manipulation API and leading GlotPress for a long while. But It also lead to some disagreements which had an impact.

3. Today I talk about the trip I
made since 2010 within
WordPress
4. It all started with one fix
I got my first prop on May 25th 2010 for ticket 14869.
7. WordPress 3.4
• Started doing focused team
• I joined adding new methods to the XML-RPC
• Worked with Peter Westwood and Max Cutler
• Things like support for CPTs and featured image
• Started adding unit tests
• In total 32 props/commits for this release
12. The road to success
• Worked together with Mike Schroder
• All the coding happened on Github
• In the end we got great help from Kurt Payne with
creating unit tests
• And obviously getting some great feedback from
the WordPress community
• Code got committed on October 1
20. GlotPress
• After WordPress 3.5 I switched my focus a bit
• I ended up looking at GlotPress and wanted to help
out there
• Lead of the project for more then 2 years
• 233 commits (with a few props)
• Disagreements let me stop with it
• 20+ contributors because of my work
