  4. 4. Treaty of Versailles • the treaty imposed on Germany by the Allied powers in 1920 after the end of World War I which demanded reparations from the Germans
  5. 5. Nazism The ideology and practice of the Nazi Party and of Nazi Germany German Fascist party controlling Germany from 1933-1945
  6. 6. Great depression a severe worldwide economic depression, after the 1929 stock market crash. It was before World War II and caused widespread unemployment
  7. 7. World War II A time period from 1939- 1945 during which world powers fought in part due to Germany and Japan’s desire to expand their empires.

  23. 23. Developing nation General countries which have not achieved a significant degree of industrialization relative to their populations, and which have, in most cases a medium to low standard of living
