A leader to lead effectively and efficiently must possess some
important qualities, traits, and characteristics. These characteristics

Quick and Correct Decision Making Abilities
In this age of cutthroat competition and intense business rivalry, it
is important for the person leading a modern organization to be a
quick thinker and super efficient decision maker.
The competition in the marketplace is intense and more-oftenthan-not the ability to make and take quick decision proves to be
the competitive differentiator for the organization.
A leader has to have a vision to succeed. This vision, however, will
count for little, if you do not have the decision making capability
along the way to turn that vision into reality.
A superior vision and an effective decision making ability has to be
appropriately supplemented by trust, support, and hard work of
the employees. Leaders need the active support of their followers
to achieve their vision and overall objective and mission of the
organization.
They must possess the communication skills to accurately convey
what they have in mind and how its fulfillment will lead to the
overall growth and development of the organization as well as the
employees.
Any decision that has been taken needs to be implemented.
Leaders who enjoy high level of trust experience no difficulty
whatsoever in achieving it.
Employees know that all the decisions are made and taken keeping
their overall interest in mind and their leader will not do anything
that will run contrary to their growth and development.
Good Leaders are not Afraid of Making Mistakes
 A life spent making mistakes is not only more honorable, but more

This is one important quality that often separates a performer from
a non-performer. The fear of making mistakes often compels many
CEOs to avoid taking any decision and any meaningful action to the
greatest extent possible.
Unsuccessful leaders score high on uncertainty avoidance. They
prefer structured situation over non-structured situation, as any
type of task or work that deviates even slightly from the routine
causes them a high level of stress and anxiety.
Successful leaders, on the other hand, are calculated risk takers
who are never afraid of failure or making mistakes. This ability to
take rules and accept changes helps them in more ways than one.
They become more aware of their limits and their capabilities. They
learn valuable life lessons and better understand what they can or
cannot do. Leaders who treat mistakes as important learning tools
also possess certain very other important leadership qualities.
The ability to take on new challenges and take mistakes in their
stride makes them compassionate and more forgiving. They realize
that everybody cannot be perfect at all the time.
True perfection in real world is something that cannot be achieved
by human beings in totality. They encourage their employees to
look for new ways of doing things with their best intentions and not
be afraid of committing mistakes.
