Atomic is a brand new version of Touch (rugby) that can be played indoors by males and females. It is a mixture of touch, netball and basketball which is ideal for introducing people to Touch and / or Rugby.

Dual refereeing:
Advisable for more competitive events
Both stand out-of-bounds (similar to netball)

Avoid excessive Physicality/ Contact
•In making the Touch - Both attacker & defender
•Ensure care is taken with extensive changes of direction
Enforce the 2m defence away from the Tap-Ball until play
becomes ‘Live’
Correct Tap-Ball in particular ball-carrier is stationary
Be strict on ‘Early’ Touches

LIVE: When ball-carrier has performed Tap-ball, run 2 steps
with ball, 2 seconds have lapsed (2x2x2 rule)
