Peter G. Christman Peter Christman is an experienced entrepreneur, corporate executive and investment banker. During his 25-
CEO & Founder year investment banking career Pete has successfully sold more than 200 companies in a wide variety of
industries. Transactions have ranged in size from several million dollars to over one hundred million dollars.
Before becoming a middle market investment banker, Pete spent 17 years in high-level marketing and
management positions with both Ford Motor Company and Xerox Corporation. Pete is an active member of
industry organizations such as the Association for Corporate Growth, Midwest Business Brokers and
Intermediaries Association, and the Indianapolis Venture Club.
James R. Bates Jim Bates is an experienced businessman and entrepreneur. Prior to joining The CHRISTMAN Group, Jim
Managing Director was in charge of the business valuation division of a national consulting firm until he left to establish his
own business valuation and appraisal practice.
During his career, Mr. Bates has been involved in over 500 valuation assignments for companies in over 25
different industries. Jim works with strategic and financial buyers on a regular basis. Jim’s in-depth
understanding of business valuation issues makes him a valuable resource on any transaction team.
Mr. Bates is also an active speaker and writer on business valuation and exit planning issues.
