À propos
I was formerly the Biocuration Lead for the International Cancer Genome Consortium (ICGC)'s Data Coordination Centre (DCC) which is housed at the Ontario Institute for Cancer Research (OICR), located in Toronto's MaRS Centre. And before that I spent 5 years as a Data Liaison at the NHGRI-funded modENCODE Consortium's DCC (also at O.I.C.R.).
In both of these capacities I was primarily a "Data Wrangler" working with "Big Data" (in other words, biological data: raw data, processed data, and most importantly, metadata), including HT microarray datasets and NGS datasets (ChIP-chip, ChIP-seq, RNA-Seq, and WGS).
I also have 16 years of experience as a bench scientist in C. elegans developmen...
