Intro from Peter, intro to “Bootcamp”: For the last 2 years online marketing has been moving so fast that we introduced “trends updates” into the MM office. These were short sessions every few months to keep our team up to date with what’s new and what’s relevant for businesses and their marketing mix. Not everything stays of course and there have been some flash in the pan social networks and innovations that simply never took off. But so many of them do and as businesses we have to see if we can adapt to engaging with our customers using these new media or not. If you enjoy our first bootcamp session, please tell us on our Facebook page and we’ll let you know about the next one.

Whatever your business type, we think there are some interesting new tools that you should know about for the next few months ahead, and for some of you they may be more relevant now than before.
I should stress that Facebook is not for every business! But even if you do not have a presence in this enormous social network, it’s worth understanding its reach.
Volume of members means Facebook now rivals Google.
Do your customers come to your place of business or is your location important to customers?
The number of users is significant…. 10M users in just a few months
