Peer Tutoring Sage and Scribe Assign one person the role of the Sage, “All knowing.” This person will begin by explaining to the other partner how to do the first problem. The other partner’s role is the Scribe. “The writer.” This person writes what the Sage says.   After every problem, the roles switch.
Cooperative Learning Cooperative Groups Group Leader Recorder Reporter Contributor
Cooperative Learning Roundtable Each person has a role, depending on your number, in order to complete the problem
Cooperative Learning Inside-Outside Circle Form two circles Students chooses a partner in front of them Students quiz each other Rotate the circles to obtain a different partner (questions)
Cooperative Learning Find Someone Who Give each student a set of questions or problems In pairs, person A asks questions to person B.  Person B answers the questions  Each pair of students takes turn asking/answering problems
Cooperative Learning Think, Pair, Share Teacher asks a questions or problem Students then answers the problem Students then find a partner and pair up Pairs of students then discuss their results
Cooperative Learning Jigsaw Each student receives a portion of the material to be introduced Students leave home researching their material Next day, students come to class with their “new” material and present to the class
