3. IMPORTANCE KITCHEN IN THE HOME
• Kitchen is the heart of the home because it is the center of your
family’s day-to-day living. Your day begins in your kitchen with a
cup of coffee or energizing breakfast to start your day .

4. VASTU
1. kitchen should be placed in the south-east corner of the house. If not,
another great option is the northwest corner of the house. The south-east
corner is considered the best as the element of fire governs in this direction.
2. The cooking gas should be in the south-east direction. This is because when a
person cooks food they should be facing to the east only
3. Sinks and taps in the kitchen indicate flowing water. They should be placed
in the north-east direction and away from the cooking stove. This is because
fire and water are opposite elements and they repel each other.
4. Drinking water vessels, be it an earthen pot, filter, RO, pitcher etc. these
should be in the north-east side.
5 .refrigerator should be placed in the south-west direction but be kept at
least a foot away from the corner. Avoid placing it in north east direction.
6 kitchen doesn’t share a wall with the toilet or bathroom. .
7. Avoid using the colour black in the kitchen and opt for vibrant colours such
as yellow, rose, chocolate brown, green, orange or red.

6. U SHAPED DESIGN
