2. Historical evidence
• Brazil have never held the Olympic Games
before, even though they entered 3 times.
However they never won. The city hosted the
2007 Pan American Games and will host the
2014 FIFA World Cup final. Brazil gained
independence from Spain and Portugal which
means a lot of historical statues.
3. Geographical evidence
Rio de Janeiro is on a strip of Brazil's Atlantic
coast, close to the Tropic of Capricorn, where
the shoreline is oriented east–west. Facing
largely south, the city was founded on an inlet of
this stretch of the coast, Guanabara Bay (Baía de
Guanabara), and its entrance is marked by a
point of land called Sugar Loaf (Pão de Açúcar) –
a "calling card" of the city.
4. Cultural evidence
Rio de Janeiro Carnival, Brazil is about
Music, dance, rhythm, joy and a continuous
party for 4 days and 4 nights.
5. How it would benefit the host country
after the games.
It would benefit Brazil as brazil hasn’t got a lot
of poverty. So it would benefit them by building
there economy because the more who come to
watch the Olympics would have to pay for
somewhere to stay and travel etc.
