Metal barrier in front of or part of switching device to ensure that no live
parts are exposed when the outer cover is opened while in the connected
position.
Mechanical interlocks provided for proper operating sequence
> Prevent movement while closed
> Prevent closing unless disconnects are fully engaged or at safe distance
> Prevent disconnection and access to primary fuses on CPT unless secondary open
> Stored energy mechanisms cannot be discharged unless fully charged
> Complete withdrawal not permitted until closing mechanism is blocked
> Automatic discharge of stored energy mechanism before or in process of removal
from housing
> Provisions for locking to prevent moving into Connected position
