Mixtures and Compounds

Investigation
Mixtures are heterogeneous forms of matter.
Mixtures are composed of variable proportions of
molecules and atoms.
Compounds are homogeneous forms of matter.
Their constituent elements (atoms and/or ions) are
always present in fixed proportions.
Investigation:
Find six examples of mixture or solution and explain their composition.
Example:
1. Air: made of Nitrogen, Oxygen, Argon, Carbon Dioxide, and other gases.
Then look for the composition of the following compounds
Example:
1. water Composition = H2O
• Table salt = ?
• Table sugar =?
• baking soda =?
• Carbon dioxide =?
Turn in the investigation in a white page.
Put your complete name, grade, date, level, and your student number
