A leading tobacco company was constantly facing issues
with the internal sales data and market capture. Client
wanted to close the loop-hole with substantial market
data backing and address the situation soon.
ROADWAY
Varenia has its in-house developed app VBar, which
helps in live tracking of the products through Bar Code
Scanning. This aids in correct identification of the in-
store and sold merchandise. The products’ market shelf
life of different brands and companies can hence be
closely monitored.
IMPACT
Backed by its strong in-house IT & analytics platform,
Varenia was able to address the product sale
discrepancies, within time. It enabled client to correctly
track the product sales and had technology to support the
records. It also reduced the costs at the client end,
significantly. Client was able to take the right strategic &
marketing decisions to suit its various brands and
products.
INSIGHT
Varenia’s Vbar app was installed on the phones of all the
tobacco vendors in the test market and data was closely
monitored. With the simple calculation of Opening Stock
minus Closing Stock, the sales data was closely
monitored.
