Standards based, open source system for single sign-on across or within organisational boundaries. Sites can make informed authorisation decisions for Decentralised, light- individual access of weight protocol for protected online resources single sign-on and portable identity
OpenID in the wild Many “smaller” Web 2.0 services are OpenID relying parties. Notably, so too is Facebook. More “brand names” are OpenID identity providers.
Educational Institutions Educational institutions already collect and manage identity. Becoming an identity provider for them is trivial. Becoming a relying party is transformative.

  • 6. OpenID in the wild Many “smaller” Web 2.0 services are OpenID relying parties. Notably, so too is Facebook. More “brand names” are OpenID identity providers.
  • 7. Educational Institutions Educational institutions already collect and manage identity. Becoming an identity provider for them is trivial. Becoming a relying party is transformative.
