3. Dance Dance Revolution has a history of helping
students lose weight.
Games are on the rise and this is one way that we
as physical educators can get the students moving .

Dance Dance Revolution provides very good
exercise, and even has an exercise program within
the game that tells you how many calories you
burn per song, and how long you work out.

Game mode:
– Sends a 2-bit signal to
determine mode
Scoring:
– Calculates score based
on how close arrows are
when position is reached
– Accuracy level displayed
during game, overall
score given at end.

12. DDR is basically a dancing game. You select a song, and
then arrows pop up on the screen while the song plays.
The object of the game is to step on the arrows on your
dance pad (which corresponds to the game), as they
move down/up the screen. There are not really any rules
for this game-just try your best to step on the arrows,
and you’ll get better in time.
13. Many schools use DDR as a physical education activity in
gym,and in Norway.
Caltech allows its students to use DDR to fulfill part of its
physical education requirement, as students may design
their own fitness program.
University of kansas (KU) has a class for Dance Dance
Revolution open for students to take as a 1 credit hour
course.
