HPRP can be combined with other resources to create a set of prevention initiatives that is coordinated and strategically designed to stop high risk groups from becoming homeless. This workshop will examine how communities with a coordinated prevention strategy target resources, identify and address service gaps, avoid duplication, and measure outcomes.

- HPRP served as catalyst, opportunity for Systems Transformation in some regions Rhode Island leadership – one statewide CoC, already consolidated the leadership structure – pre-HPRP realized barriers to system change in fragmented system. Standardized assessment increases capacity to target / evaluate targeting strategies.
- HPRP funds brought new people to the table, consolidating regional awards, creating new leadership structures
- Future of Prevention programs – working partnerships that target/direct services to people experiencing homelessness. Co-training and co-providing services with mainstream providers. After HPRP, DSS funding will continue.
