PDHPE is one of the six key learning areas in the NSW primary curriculum. It develops students holistically by providing tools for a continued healthy, active lifestyle. PDHPE teaches students to make informed decisions about health and physical activity to form positive attitudes towards a healthy lifestyle. It is an important subject that is advocated by the Board of Studies because the syllabus promotes overall wellbeing through social, mental, physical, and spiritual health.
