Currently my responsibility is technical investigation about FLOSS area, especially cloud based solution in software development companies. And I wrote several articles mainly about FLOSS desktop printing area in several Japanese Magazines.
I had been in Ricoh Co., Ltd. as an software engineer 16 and a half year. Last 5 years I had made strategies about printer driver development, mostly end-user customization of printer drivers and providing printing solution to FLOSS desktop users.
Since then, I have had strongly interest about FLOSS itself and FLOSS communities, and deeply discussed about how we (hardware vendors) could be "open," i.e., open our specifications, commit codes to FLOSS...
