THANKS TO MY DAD
2. As far as I can remember, my father always
took me outside either in the woods,
horseback riding, bicycling, running etc. My
love for the outdoors is a something I got
from him.
Just having lost him, I found a way to reach
him by going back in nature, so thank you for
the opportunity.
3. PARC DE LA COMMUNE BY THE CHATEAUGUAY RIVER
See! I even made a
friend
This park was originally a trailer park
and was bought by the city to be use as
a city park. There is a cycling path and
it is the entry for l’Île Saint-Bernard
5. ÎLE SAINT BERNARD
This part was recently sold to a
private company by the
Congregation of les Soeurs
Grises. The buildings were
renovated and you can now go
there on vacation or spend the
summer. This is the north part
of the Island which is by the
Lac Saint-Louis. You can also
go for the day and sit on the
wooden chairs where it is
always cool and windy.
6. SUITE – ÎLE SAINT-BERNARD
The
Congregation On the Island you also
cemetery for les have an orchard
Soeurs Grises which opens to the
public in the fall.
7. CENTRE ÉCOLOGIQUE FERNAND SÉGUIN
This is a big and popular
wooded
area protected by the city. It
is mostly known for cross
country
skiing and bird observation.

Thanks to my mother
who spent the week
with me and let me
borrow my Dad’s
bike. We had a
fabulous time.
