Persuasive Essay About Summer School
Some schools have their year set up for almost an all year round type of deal, but there are some
schools that have that big summer vacation. The difference between the two is the all year round
you still get a summer vacation but only a month because through the school year you get breaks all
the time and they are long. Whether the traditional one you have a long summer vacation because
you do not get a lot of breaks during the school year, you get breaks but not for very long. I do not
care as much as others because no matter what you are getting almost the same amount of days off
just during different times and I actually like the fact that you get long breaks during the school year
and then get a month off and that it honestly not as bad...show more content...
If they had the balanced my doing summer school would take up my whole summer vacation,
whether with the traditional one I have a month and something weeks of summer vacation, I will
not be completely filled with school literally all year round. I mean it is a good thing because
then I will actually do better in school, but I just do not like how short the summer is. I like the
fact that it will make the school year go by fast because we will not get piled on with work
constantly we actually get breaks between it all. The traditional school year I do not like how
many days we go straight through the school year, because then we do not really have time to do
fun things with our family during certain seasons we are in school. I get why they would want to go
back to the balanced calendar because not many teenagers and children are working on the farms,
but there are some teenagers out there that are trying to get jobs during the summer to actually grow
up and show that they are

Summer Days
Those hot summer days soon turned into fall and fall became winter only to give birth to spring.
As the months passed, not a day went by that Willow did not think of Oak. Grass and wildflowers
now grew in the gully. In the many years to come, Willow would never have to worry about her
pond going dry again, no matter how hot and dry it became, thanks to Oak. Fox would often go
and sit alone on top of the hill where Oak once stood proud. He would be eternally grateful for
having the chance to make up with Oak when he had the chance. Fox could have never known his
last goodbye to Oak, was in fact, his last. There is always a last goodbye. On an average given day
in early spring, a beautiful Monarch butterfly floated on the air hundreds of feet above the valley.
This butterfly considered herself quite lucky because she just happened to be made of her
favorite colors. Her wings were a deep, rich orange outlined in black with white dots scattered
around the edges. From her perspective, she could see both the south and north woods in their
entirety. She could see the whole lake and noticed a young cougar, the cub from the previous
summer, now fully grown. He was napping in the warmth of the sun on the same large boulder
that Fox found to be so useful. He seemed content and at peace. Below her was Willows pond. She
floated down as gently as a feather and landed in the grass on the west edge of the pond. "That
tickles." a voice said. "I'm sorry. I

500 Days of Summer Essay
500 days of summer is a story where a boy meets a girl, he falls in love with her yet she does not
truly love him. The movie shows the progression of the relationship of Tom and Summer. It begins
when they first meet when Summer begins working as a secretary where Tom works and progresses
to them casually dating. Summer is obviously hesitant and against relationships yet Tom is overly
eager to find the perfect girl. The story ultimately shows the demise and after effects of their
relationship. At first thought anyone could think this is the typical love story where the movie
casually progresses to them living happily ever after. This is not that kind of fairy tale love story. A
primary reason that Tom and Summer are able to be...show more content...
As time progresses Summer is made aware that Tom has an interest in her. Even though Summer has
made her opinion known that she does not believe in love, they soon portray the obvious
characteristics of mutual attraction and of being in a relationship. This most likely can be attributed
to reciprocal liking; Summer starting to like Tom more, simply because she knows Tom likes her.
Social Exchange theory is the best theory for explaining the actual relationship between Tom and
Summer. They both feel a great reward in spending time with each other, which causes them to
spend more time together. At first the mutual cost and effort of their relationship, is of lesser value
than the rewards they receive. When Tom and Summer spend more time with one another, they are
able to receive more affection, attention, and become closer to each other which is rewarding to
them both with little cost or effort. Tom feels happy because he begins to break down her walls, so
to speak, which is an increase in the perceived closeness that they have. Summer enjoys the time
spent together, and the attention received from Tom. George Homans (1974) had the theory of
Stimulus proposition under the social exchange theory that says, "If in the past

My favorite season of the year is summer because of the warm weather, the school vacation, and
the endless fun. I really enjoy the warm weather because it's the perfect atmosphere to do outdoor
activities. My favorite part about summer has to be the fact that school is closed for two months.
During summer, you're free to do whatever you want, not worrying about curfew or waking up
early for school. Summer time is a great time to relax with friends and family by soaking up the sun
at a beach or simply having dinner together.
I love the hot and humid days that makes you want to dive into a fresh and cold pool. When summer
time starts, you can wear lighter clothes, which are much more comfortable. The weather allows
people to go outdoors to...show more content...
The break calls for staying up late and waking up whenever you want to. Everyone works so hard
during the school year, so they deserve that free time. Summer times are stress free, relaxing, and
basically fun. You don't have to worry about homework, projects, and studying for a test. One of my
favorite summer pastimes is staying up late watching movies and eating junk food, and then waking
up late and having brunch.
Summer season is the best time for festivals and activities. You can never get bored on a summer
day or night. During the day, there are fun activities such as: swimming, sports, picnics, and
barbeques. Friends and family spend a lot of time together during the summer time. There is a lot
of good food, drinks, and fun music. Everyone is laughing and having a good time. Summer
evenings are the best time for concerts, movies, parties, and relaxing with friends. The summer
evenings are beautiful because of the sparkly and glittery city lights. One of the best events of the
year, July Fourth, happens during summer. The celebration of July fourth is very extravagant and
glamorous. People gather around to celebrate and watch the display of fireworks. The vibrant colors
and the loud sound of the fireworks are amazing.
Overall, summer is just a wonderful season with so much to offer. The best thing about this time of
the year is that everyone is so happy, whereas, compared to the winter, everyone is

Descriptive Essay About Summer Vacation
Summer vacation! The beach! The mountains! Friends! Airplanes! Then, there was me with no
plans, just drawing and eating, and other monotonous things, very repetitive. If someone asked,
"What is something new and interesting you did this summer?" I would of had to reply with, "I
tasted a new potato chip flavor, it was good. What did you do?", but that wasn't the case, because
my parents then all of a sudden, in the very last minute scheduled a vacation, It was a three day
vacation. The vacation consisted my family going to New Hampshire, Maine, then Boston. First
of all, if you didn't know, New Hampshire is located South West from Maine. Go north, then wow!
Hello Canada! Next, Maine is located South and a little West from New Brunswick, one of the
provinces in Canada. Fun fact, Fredericton is the capital of News Brunswick! Lastly, Boston is
Massachusetts' capital and largest city. Another fun fact, it's one of the oldest cities in the U.S. The
people that are involved in the events are me, of course, others are my sister, mother, father, and the
people of the inn and hotel. A delightful and enjoyable summer vacation! Our first stop, New
Hampshire as I introduced it, it is South West from Maine, it's capital is Concord. When we first
entered New Hampshire, there were buildings, students, and workers walking everywhere in
different directions. It actually, sort of reminded me of New York City, of course New York City was
more crowded, had more large buildings, and different, but still it reminded me of New York
City. My family went to New Hampshire riding a car, so we had been in the car for seven hours.
Well we kept driving North, the outside started to change, the buildings became less more
common, then before I knew it there were trees in everywhere, just no trees on the path we drove
on. There were yellow deer crossing signs ornamented the tall and green trees. Then when we
arrived at the inn, I mean to go to the inn, we took like three stops to ask where this inn was. The
inn was around trees, were we had to park the car was not the parking lot you would see normally.
The parking lot had no lines to indicate where to park. It was just covered in small rocks as tiny
pebbles, gravel, sand, and etc. The

Describe Summer Essay
Topic: Describe your idea of summer. What memory best captures summer for you? Explain.
Entry: My idea of summer is a break from school that lasts around two and a half months. Summer
is a period of time where most teenagers get jobs and many families travel and go on vacation. It
is the time of year where the water and air become warmer, and there are vast amounts of people at
the beach or in their pools. The memory that best represents my idea of summer was this past
summer. Last summer I went on many adventures. I went to multiple concerts and meet and greets
to see and sometimes meet my favorite celebrities. My family, my friends, and I spend hours
relaxing at the beach and swimming in the pool.We visited the boardwalk , rode all the slides at
the water park, we enjoyed riding jet skis, and we played a lot of softball. My family and my best
friend Chloe flew down to Disney in Orlando , I went on vacation with my sister's softball team to
Ocean City, Maryland, and the last few days of summer we spent in my home in Cape Coral,
Florida. While my family and I were in Cape Coral , we drove about six hours to Key West to see
the crystal clear water and to explore the area. That summer perfectly represents my idea of summer.
Summer is about spending time with family and friends and taking a break from your daily routine ,
which is exactly what my family did that summer.

boat and I was trying to get on the other side so I could go but the thing Is i didn't have a life

Essay On The Summer I Turned Pretty
Following the success of "The Summer I Turned Pretty", Jenny Han published another
captivating Young Adult book many known as "To All the Boys I've Loved Before". And to no
surprise, it had become a New York Bestseller among readers. This book is quite intricate. You
may end up either loving it or saying "meh" to it. This could be due to characters' way of dealing
with circumstances, how the plot line is by all accounts going at a moderate pace, and so forth. The
story began pleasant and straightforward. With Lara Jean, as the main character, being a hopeless
romantic who write letters to her crushes but never sends them–rather, she places them in her special
hatbox. However, things got out of hand when the letters were mailed out of nowhere without Lara
knowledge. What's worse is that one out of the five letters were about her older sister, Margot's,
ex–boyfriend, Josh....show more content...
This book has a really ambiguous ending, meaning, you're sorta left a cliffhanger. And quite
frankly, throughout the book, you'll most likely wind up being truly baffled at Laura's naivety and
the characters' lack of development. But don't fret, as there are a sequel and trilogy to this book. In
addition, the story doesn't concentrate excessively on the letters even if it were the cause of the
conflict. But don't fret, as there are a sequel and trilogy to this book. Nonetheless, I'd recommend
this book to not just people who are interested in romance but also to those who enjoy reading
realistic fiction. The general tone of this book is light and comical so I thought that it was pretty
amusing to read. And regardless of the possibility that the book may appear to be cheesy, the plot
is to some degree relatable and the characters feel truly genuine. I personally can't wait to see the
movie as it's reported to be currently

Descriptive Essay About The Summer
As the last of the snow melts from the pale green grass, the sun is beginning to assert itself with
more authority each day. It runs its course through the sky, arcing higher and higher towards its
apex above. It is spring, and the world is humming with the excitement of new life and warmer
weather. There is a faint breeze in the air, bringing the fresh scents of spring to my nostrils.
Suddenly I realize with astonishment that, even though I never noticed it, I haven't been able to
smell anything outdoors in several months. This is the season in which I begin to anticipate the
most exciting event of the year. I only have to make it through one more month of school, I tell
myself. Then, I'll be home free. At first glance, my home is not so much different from Cedarville,
but you can't replace your home with its cousin. I desire to be at home, so I can do my job. And I
love my job. At last, the nine–hour ordeal is over with. I step out from a hot, fast–moving hunk of
steel onto macadam that still radiates heat from the long day under the sun. The sun has long
gone down by now, but it has been replaced by an eerily bright, full moon. I grin widely up at the
stars and let out a shout of joy and relief as I stretch my tired arms as high and wide as they will
allow. "Thank you, Lord" is the one sentence I utter, and it truly sums up everything I am feeling.
This has been an amazing year at school, and God used every experience I had to mold me and
shape me. I've had unanswered prayers that I thank Him for, and other prayers answered, which
completely changed my life. It was a long, but good journey, and I am happy to be home.
Tomorrow is a big day. I jump out of bed in the morning, as I remember before I open my eyes
what I am doing today. I throw on a random assortment of clothing, grabbing whatever clothes I
don't really care about. I rush down the stairs, jumping over most of them, not caring how loud
my footsteps are. As I rush around the kitchen, my old routine returns to me like a lost dog. I
throw together one of my favorite meals to make; the only meal I make every morning. It is the
glorious and classy egg sandwich. The only problem is that I need to make a larger one every year
in order to satisfy my

Narrative Essay About Summer Vacation
Summer Vacation
Do you know the reason why we have summer vacation? I believe that summer vacation is not just
about sleeping in and appreciating the time off, it includes spending time with your close friends and
family, and that is exactly what I did this summer break. There were many fascinating things I did
this summer and in this essay I will tell you a few of things I enjoyed doing.
Spending time with close relatives and is exactly what I did to kickoff my summer even though
massive amount of them lived out of the state Indiana going to Seattle, Mexico, Texas, and Virginia.

For that rest of the day we went to a restaurant called Puckett's and apparently it is right down the
road from Justin Timberlake's recording studio/private house, All of the kids including me went
to his front and touched his door knob and I might of took a sneak peek inside his house. The last
day we were there we visited a beautiful waterfall, even though it was a lovely site the water part
was very deadly. The reason why it was deadly was there were big boulders everywhere you
stepped, and there were water moccasins which are venomous snakes that lurked around in the
water. When it was time to live the waterfall a water moccasin was about 20 feet in front of me and
my friends, thankfully another guy ran into the water scaring the snake away making it safe for me
and my buddies to get out. Honestly out of the whole entire summer this had to be my favorite
vacation.
This next vacation isn't really a vacation it's more of an event but it was fun, hilarious, and
relaxing like a vacation. After Tennessee we went seven days later we went to Detroit, Michigan
for this thing called a muck fest. A muck fest is 5k with muddy obstacles that you run into on your
way to the finish line. The race only lasted 2 hours for my mom, dad, and other family members to
finish. The best part was when I was able to do the last three obstacles and get

Thirty minutes, however "Summer "s burnt orange 1968 VW bug rumbled into my driveway, and

I followed summer into the diner, and glanced at a sign that read "Please Seat Yourself." Summer

Essay On Summer And Winter
Summer vs. Winter what is the difference? The four seasons are a way for Mother Nature show us
the big differences on what type of clothing, food, and activities that we should be wearing
depending on the temperature outside. Especially, Summer and Winter whose extremes can
determine how much our life changes during those seasons. Most of the time, between summer and
winter a person's daily activities, and habits are completely different. Usually, the main reason for a
person to like or dislike a certain season is because of the extreme temperature change. Most people
believe that winter is more relaxing than summer because winter has better food, activities, and more
comfortable clothing to wear. There are many differences...show more content...
A study taken by Northern Illinois University shows that parents usually have no problem sending
their kids outside in the summer months when the sun is shining, and it is warm outside. When the
weather changes from sunny, and hot to cold and dreadful is when parents have a little less trust
sending their children into the colder weather. The study states that sending your child to play
outside in the winter months improves their immune system, stimulates the brain leading to a
better imagination, and it promotes problem solving skills. For example, children playing outside
in the winter rather than playing video games inside are more likely to be able to solve real life
problems and they are more outgoing when it comes to making friends. These are the many
reasons to travel to popular destinations and have fun with the activities of summer or winter.
There is a wide range of foods that people eat from summer to winter. For instance, being from
Minnesota people are really into grilling and cooking food on the fire in the summer months but
in the winter people like cooking soups and broths on the stove and in crockpots. In summer,
because it is always so hot outside people would like to eat cold food like ice cream to keep them
cooled down in the heat. During winter however, because it is

amazing things that you can do. I believe that if accepted into this program, that I will do my very

I have always loved looking and participating in art classes, although I am not the best artist, and I

learn about how they interact with one another. I feel like I could provide an interesting
perspective to this program, for the main reason of having been apart of programs similar to this

to avoid biases and to be more empathetic and understanding towards others. I am very adaptive to

Summer Narrative Essay
The summer leading into my senior year of high school was complicated as well as interesting.
Things happened that I would have never expected. However, it was, all around, a great summer. I
wouldn't take any event away if I had the option. My summer included a trip to Virginia Beach with
my then boyfriend, getting my first job, and helping my parents with their business.
I had never been to Virginia Beach until this trip; I hadn't been to a beach in more than ten years.
This trip was a turning point in my relationship with my now ex–boyfriend. We had a decent hour
and a half drive to get there. Once we actually made it to the beach is when things started going
downhill. We put out our towels as blankets on the sand and started to get into the beach vibe. I
went down to the water and started taking in the beauty that is the ocean with the sounds of the
birds and chatter of families around me. When we were in the water, I accidentally splashed him
in the face with water, and he stormed back to our spot. He wasn't in a good mood for the rest of
the day. Later on, when we went to dinner, it took us an hour to get our food. Then on the way
home, I was almost driven off of a bridge by a truck. There were smaller events that made the trip
not as fun, too. However, if I had the opportunity to erase the trip, I wouldn't because it showed me
more about him in those six to seven hours than it did in the three years we were together. We did
enjoy each other's company during this trip,

Summer Day Descriptive Writing
It was a gorgeous summer day. the sun was shining, the birds were singing, and the world was at
peace on the seemingly carefree sunday afternoon. church had just ended and the children ran fast
and free ready to play. They ran two and twelve towards the town's lake to go swimming, in order to
ward off the heat of the noon sun. They stampeded through town bumping over numerous people and
even one another to reach the cool blue waves. The menacing multitude took a sharp turn from the
street to an old dusty road. The trees shook in the evening breeze and swayed slightly further when
the children hurried by. Dust faintly clouded out the light that poured over the path. Finally they
reached the dock and began to take off and swap clothes. The boys took off their shirts and pants
and swam in their underwear, while the girls chose to go behind some nearby bushes.and
exchange out their attire. When everyone was in they started to splash one another while laughing
and shouting. A few of them dived under the water to search for fish and other sea life. When they
came back, up two of them had seaweed, one held a starfish, and two others had a crab holding it
by both sides. It was getting a little later in the day, but the kids were not quite yet ready to leave
their fun to rest. They decided to play hide and seek even though the sun was beginning to make its
descent behind the green curtains that were the distant hills. One child counted while everyone hid

formatting techniques including underlining the title of the novel, and center the title of the paper. I

Descriptive Essay About My Summer Vacation
It was a beautiful day to try something new at Doheny State Beach in Dana Point, California. It was
a long year in fourth grade, and my family and I were excited to start our summer vacation. As we
pulled our trailer on the southbound I–5 freeway towards San Diego, I could see the temperature
gauge on my father's truck slowly dropping to the mid 70's. We were in a packed car with my
father, mother, older brother, younger sister, snacks and drinks everywhere, and me, entranced by
the game on my brand new iPod that I recently received on my birthday. I had gone on camping trips
my whole life so I was thrilled to go to a new beach and campground, but I was bewildered when we

The board came in a heat shrunk plastic cover with the fins, leash, and directions enclosed. We
ripped off the plastic cover like it was wrapping paper and gathered the tools we needed: a quarter
to fit the extremely large flathead hole on the top of the fins, a knife to cut the leash to the desired
length, and a black Sharpie to write our names on it. After we had finished, my father came to
inspect our work. He concluded his inspection by placing the surfboard in the back of the truck,
implying that we were successful and that it would be ready for tomorrow. I was entranced by the
thought of surfing, I dreamt all night about monstrous waves like in the movies, and gliding along
side dolphins as they played in the ocean. That morning I woke up like it was Christmas, early,
energized, curious, and excited. In preparation, I put on my swimsuit and practiced paddling and
popping up on my skateboard as I rode around the campground at seven o'clock in the morning. It
seemed like forever until my family woke up and was finally ready to go to the beach. Luckily,
Mason and I only had to walk a total of 200 meters to get the board into the water; unfortunately, half
of the trek was through soft sand, and took over five minutes.
Eventually, we were ready to make our first surfing memories. Mason was elected to go first since
he was older and it was his present. My father waded into the water and pushed

What I did this summer. That`s a good question to be honest, I did a lot of things that were
considered fun for me, like shopping, hanging out with my family, hanging out with my friends,
going to the beach, the water park and much more. But I will only break it down to two or three of
my favorite things I did this Summer, so stick around to see what my favorite things about this
Summer were. Like I said in my introduction, this paragraph will be about when I went shopping
multiple times with my family. I know it might sound dumb for a first paragraph but, too me it

on "Despacito" so my family and I all started singing it together. About an hour later we get to the
South lake Mall and we went to four stores, Hollister, Vans, Journeys, and American Eagle. My
Mom, Brother, and I all went to those four stores while my Dad went shopping somewhere else. It
was going well , we were all having a fantastic time together. Then once we were done shopping we
went to McDonald's got some food because, who doesn't adore McDonald`s right? Then we headed
back home, it was a great day and for sure one of my favorite memories from this Summer. Keep in
mind my family and I did this like 2 or 3 times this year, so it was extra fun. My second paragraph
will be about when I went to Deep River Water–park with my friends, Eliot Cates, Ben Herz, Adam
Collard, Cole Watson, and Alden Cates. It was honestly such a great time especially because, I
was with my close friends. We went there for Eliot`s birthday. I was so excited when my Mom
showed me the text saying I got invited, I got all my snacks, clothes, and towels ready, days before
it was actually time for the "party". We were supposed to go on Wednesday, in July. So I get all ready
and we head off for Eliot`s house, everyone

Summer Essay Writing

  • 1. Persuasive Essay About Summer School Some schools have their year set up for almost an all year round type of deal, but there are some schools that have that big summer vacation. The difference between the two is the all year round you still get a summer vacation but only a month because through the school year you get breaks all the time and they are long. Whether the traditional one you have a long summer vacation because you do not get a lot of breaks during the school year, you get breaks but not for very long. I do not care as much as others because no matter what you are getting almost the same amount of days off just during different times and I actually like the fact that you get long breaks during the school year and then get a month off and that it honestly not as bad...show more content... If they had the balanced my doing summer school would take up my whole summer vacation, whether with the traditional one I have a month and something weeks of summer vacation, I will not be completely filled with school literally all year round. I mean it is a good thing because then I will actually do better in school, but I just do not like how short the summer is. I like the fact that it will make the school year go by fast because we will not get piled on with work constantly we actually get breaks between it all. The traditional school year I do not like how many days we go straight through the school year, because then we do not really have time to do fun things with our family during certain seasons we are in school. I get why they would want to go back to the balanced calendar because not many teenagers and children are working on the farms, but there are some teenagers out there that are trying to get jobs during the summer to actually grow up and show that they are Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Summer Days Those hot summer days soon turned into fall and fall became winter only to give birth to spring. As the months passed, not a day went by that Willow did not think of Oak. Grass and wildflowers now grew in the gully. In the many years to come, Willow would never have to worry about her pond going dry again, no matter how hot and dry it became, thanks to Oak. Fox would often go and sit alone on top of the hill where Oak once stood proud. He would be eternally grateful for having the chance to make up with Oak when he had the chance. Fox could have never known his last goodbye to Oak, was in fact, his last. There is always a last goodbye. On an average given day in early spring, a beautiful Monarch butterfly floated on the air hundreds of feet above the valley. This butterfly considered herself quite lucky because she just happened to be made of her favorite colors. Her wings were a deep, rich orange outlined in black with white dots scattered around the edges. From her perspective, she could see both the south and north woods in their entirety. She could see the whole lake and noticed a young cougar, the cub from the previous summer, now fully grown. He was napping in the warmth of the sun on the same large boulder that Fox found to be so useful. He seemed content and at peace. Below her was Willows pond. She floated down as gently as a feather and landed in the grass on the west edge of the pond. "That tickles." a voice said. "I'm sorry. I Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. 500 Days of Summer Essay 500 days of summer is a story where a boy meets a girl, he falls in love with her yet she does not truly love him. The movie shows the progression of the relationship of Tom and Summer. It begins when they first meet when Summer begins working as a secretary where Tom works and progresses to them casually dating. Summer is obviously hesitant and against relationships yet Tom is overly eager to find the perfect girl. The story ultimately shows the demise and after effects of their relationship. At first thought anyone could think this is the typical love story where the movie casually progresses to them living happily ever after. This is not that kind of fairy tale love story. A primary reason that Tom and Summer are able to be...show more content... As time progresses Summer is made aware that Tom has an interest in her. Even though Summer has made her opinion known that she does not believe in love, they soon portray the obvious characteristics of mutual attraction and of being in a relationship. This most likely can be attributed to reciprocal liking; Summer starting to like Tom more, simply because she knows Tom likes her. Social Exchange theory is the best theory for explaining the actual relationship between Tom and Summer. They both feel a great reward in spending time with each other, which causes them to spend more time together. At first the mutual cost and effort of their relationship, is of lesser value than the rewards they receive. When Tom and Summer spend more time with one another, they are able to receive more affection, attention, and become closer to each other which is rewarding to them both with little cost or effort. Tom feels happy because he begins to break down her walls, so to speak, which is an increase in the perceived closeness that they have. Summer enjoys the time spent together, and the attention received from Tom. George Homans (1974) had the theory of Stimulus proposition under the social exchange theory that says, "If in the past Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. My favorite season of the year is summer because of the warm weather, the school vacation, and the endless fun. I really enjoy the warm weather because it's the perfect atmosphere to do outdoor activities. My favorite part about summer has to be the fact that school is closed for two months. During summer, you're free to do whatever you want, not worrying about curfew or waking up early for school. Summer time is a great time to relax with friends and family by soaking up the sun at a beach or simply having dinner together. I love the hot and humid days that makes you want to dive into a fresh and cold pool. When summer time starts, you can wear lighter clothes, which are much more comfortable. The weather allows people to go outdoors to...show more content... The break calls for staying up late and waking up whenever you want to. Everyone works so hard during the school year, so they deserve that free time. Summer times are stress free, relaxing, and basically fun. You don't have to worry about homework, projects, and studying for a test. One of my favorite summer pastimes is staying up late watching movies and eating junk food, and then waking up late and having brunch. Summer season is the best time for festivals and activities. You can never get bored on a summer day or night. During the day, there are fun activities such as: swimming, sports, picnics, and barbeques. Friends and family spend a lot of time together during the summer time. There is a lot of good food, drinks, and fun music. Everyone is laughing and having a good time. Summer evenings are the best time for concerts, movies, parties, and relaxing with friends. The summer evenings are beautiful because of the sparkly and glittery city lights. One of the best events of the year, July Fourth, happens during summer. The celebration of July fourth is very extravagant and glamorous. People gather around to celebrate and watch the display of fireworks. The vibrant colors and the loud sound of the fireworks are amazing. Overall, summer is just a wonderful season with so much to offer. The best thing about this time of the year is that everyone is so happy, whereas, compared to the winter, everyone is Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 6. Descriptive Essay About Summer Vacation Summer vacation! The beach! The mountains! Friends! Airplanes! Then, there was me with no plans, just drawing and eating, and other monotonous things, very repetitive. If someone asked, "What is something new and interesting you did this summer?" I would of had to reply with, "I tasted a new potato chip flavor, it was good. What did you do?", but that wasn't the case, because my parents then all of a sudden, in the very last minute scheduled a vacation, It was a three day vacation. The vacation consisted my family going to New Hampshire, Maine, then Boston. First of all, if you didn't know, New Hampshire is located South West from Maine. Go north, then wow! Hello Canada! Next, Maine is located South and a little West from New Brunswick, one of the provinces in Canada. Fun fact, Fredericton is the capital of News Brunswick! Lastly, Boston is Massachusetts' capital and largest city. Another fun fact, it's one of the oldest cities in the U.S. The people that are involved in the events are me, of course, others are my sister, mother, father, and the people of the inn and hotel. A delightful and enjoyable summer vacation! Our first stop, New Hampshire as I introduced it, it is South West from Maine, it's capital is Concord. When we first entered New Hampshire, there were buildings, students, and workers walking everywhere in different directions. It actually, sort of reminded me of New York City, of course New York City was more crowded, had more large buildings, and different, but still it reminded me of New York City. My family went to New Hampshire riding a car, so we had been in the car for seven hours. Well we kept driving North, the outside started to change, the buildings became less more common, then before I knew it there were trees in everywhere, just no trees on the path we drove on. There were yellow deer crossing signs ornamented the tall and green trees. Then when we arrived at the inn, I mean to go to the inn, we took like three stops to ask where this inn was. The inn was around trees, were we had to park the car was not the parking lot you would see normally. The parking lot had no lines to indicate where to park. It was just covered in small rocks as tiny pebbles, gravel, sand, and etc. The Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Describe Summer Essay Topic: Describe your idea of summer. What memory best captures summer for you? Explain. Entry: My idea of summer is a break from school that lasts around two and a half months. Summer is a period of time where most teenagers get jobs and many families travel and go on vacation. It is the time of year where the water and air become warmer, and there are vast amounts of people at the beach or in their pools. The memory that best represents my idea of summer was this past summer. Last summer I went on many adventures. I went to multiple concerts and meet and greets to see and sometimes meet my favorite celebrities. My family, my friends, and I spend hours relaxing at the beach and swimming in the pool.We visited the boardwalk , rode all the slides at the water park, we enjoyed riding jet skis, and we played a lot of softball. My family and my best friend Chloe flew down to Disney in Orlando , I went on vacation with my sister's softball team to Ocean City, Maryland, and the last few days of summer we spent in my home in Cape Coral, Florida. While my family and I were in Cape Coral , we drove about six hours to Key West to see the crystal clear water and to explore the area. That summer perfectly represents my idea of summer. Summer is about spending time with family and friends and taking a break from your daily routine , which is exactly what my family did that summer. Entry 2 from 11–18–16 Topic: Describe a gift that meant a lot to you. Why was this gift Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 9. Essay On The Summer I Turned Pretty Following the success of "The Summer I Turned Pretty", Jenny Han published another captivating Young Adult book many known as "To All the Boys I've Loved Before". And to no surprise, it had become a New York Bestseller among readers. This book is quite intricate. You may end up either loving it or saying "meh" to it. This could be due to characters' way of dealing with circumstances, how the plot line is by all accounts going at a moderate pace, and so forth. The story began pleasant and straightforward. With Lara Jean, as the main character, being a hopeless romantic who write letters to her crushes but never sends them–rather, she places them in her special hatbox. However, things got out of hand when the letters were mailed out of nowhere without Lara knowledge. What's worse is that one out of the five letters were about her older sister, Margot's, ex–boyfriend, Josh....show more content... This book has a really ambiguous ending, meaning, you're sorta left a cliffhanger. And quite frankly, throughout the book, you'll most likely wind up being truly baffled at Laura's naivety and the characters' lack of development. But don't fret, as there are a sequel and trilogy to this book. In addition, the story doesn't concentrate excessively on the letters even if it were the cause of the conflict. But don't fret, as there are a sequel and trilogy to this book. Nonetheless, I'd recommend this book to not just people who are interested in romance but also to those who enjoy reading realistic fiction. The general tone of this book is light and comical so I thought that it was pretty amusing to read. And regardless of the possibility that the book may appear to be cheesy, the plot is to some degree relatable and the characters feel truly genuine. I personally can't wait to see the movie as it's reported to be currently Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 10. Descriptive Essay About The Summer As the last of the snow melts from the pale green grass, the sun is beginning to assert itself with more authority each day. It runs its course through the sky, arcing higher and higher towards its apex above. It is spring, and the world is humming with the excitement of new life and warmer weather. There is a faint breeze in the air, bringing the fresh scents of spring to my nostrils. Suddenly I realize with astonishment that, even though I never noticed it, I haven't been able to smell anything outdoors in several months. This is the season in which I begin to anticipate the most exciting event of the year. I only have to make it through one more month of school, I tell myself. Then, I'll be home free. At first glance, my home is not so much different from Cedarville, but you can't replace your home with its cousin. I desire to be at home, so I can do my job. And I love my job. At last, the nine–hour ordeal is over with. I step out from a hot, fast–moving hunk of steel onto macadam that still radiates heat from the long day under the sun. The sun has long gone down by now, but it has been replaced by an eerily bright, full moon. I grin widely up at the stars and let out a shout of joy and relief as I stretch my tired arms as high and wide as they will allow. "Thank you, Lord" is the one sentence I utter, and it truly sums up everything I am feeling. This has been an amazing year at school, and God used every experience I had to mold me and shape me. I've had unanswered prayers that I thank Him for, and other prayers answered, which completely changed my life. It was a long, but good journey, and I am happy to be home. Tomorrow is a big day. I jump out of bed in the morning, as I remember before I open my eyes what I am doing today. I throw on a random assortment of clothing, grabbing whatever clothes I don't really care about. I rush down the stairs, jumping over most of them, not caring how loud my footsteps are. As I rush around the kitchen, my old routine returns to me like a lost dog. I throw together one of my favorite meals to make; the only meal I make every morning. It is the glorious and classy egg sandwich. The only problem is that I need to make a larger one every year in order to satisfy my Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. Narrative Essay About Summer Vacation Summer Vacation Do you know the reason why we have summer vacation? I believe that summer vacation is not just about sleeping in and appreciating the time off, it includes spending time with your close friends and family, and that is exactly what I did this summer break. There were many fascinating things I did this summer and in this essay I will tell you a few of things I enjoyed doing. Spending time with close relatives and is exactly what I did to kickoff my summer even though massive amount of them lived out of the state Indiana going to Seattle, Mexico, Texas, and Virginia. Somehow we accomplished the task to see my whopping 275 family members only on my mom's side, we ended up putting on a huge family reunion to...show more content... For that rest of the day we went to a restaurant called Puckett's and apparently it is right down the road from Justin Timberlake's recording studio/private house, All of the kids including me went to his front and touched his door knob and I might of took a sneak peek inside his house. The last day we were there we visited a beautiful waterfall, even though it was a lovely site the water part was very deadly. The reason why it was deadly was there were big boulders everywhere you stepped, and there were water moccasins which are venomous snakes that lurked around in the water. When it was time to live the waterfall a water moccasin was about 20 feet in front of me and my friends, thankfully another guy ran into the water scaring the snake away making it safe for me and my buddies to get out. Honestly out of the whole entire summer this had to be my favorite vacation. This next vacation isn't really a vacation it's more of an event but it was fun, hilarious, and relaxing like a vacation. After Tennessee we went seven days later we went to Detroit, Michigan for this thing called a muck fest. A muck fest is 5k with muddy obstacles that you run into on your way to the finish line. The race only lasted 2 hours for my mom, dad, and other family members to finish. The best part was when I was able to do the last three obstacles and get Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. Summer Descriptive Writing It all began with a simple phone call one night around two in the morning. I glanced down at my phone, the name "Summer" illuminating the screen. As I hesitated to answer the phone, I thought of the nice quiet evening at home, I would have if I rejected the call. I could sleep, and not have another stupid adventure with " " Thirty minutes, however "Summer "s burnt orange 1968 VW bug rumbled into my driveway, and she was leaning on the horn before the car came to a full stop. Grabbing my coat from the couch, I walked out my front door with all the enthusiasm of a man going to stand before a firing squad. "Summer!" I yelled with a hint of nervousness as I glanced around the parking lot Receiving no response I quickly climbed back into...show more content... I shut the car off, and climbed out of the car, waiting for Summer to follow. I saw her stretching out of the corner of my eye, her black curls bouncing with her every movement. I waited for her to finish, then led the way toward the entrance of the diner, peering through the door I could see the faint illumination of the lights. A dimly lit fluorescent sign informed me that they were in fact open, even at 3 in the morning. "After you" I whispered, holding the door I followed summer into the diner, and glanced at a sign that read "Please Seat Yourself." Summer lead the way to a booth located near the window, where she practically fell into the seat. I slid into the seat across from her. The waitress clad in a very vintage pink uniform circa 1960's, slowly made her way to our table, her name tag read "Cindy." Her hair was a box dye auburn, face clad with gaudy makeup, including a red lipstick that aged her immensely. "Hello ladies, you're here quite late, or early I suppose. What can I get you to drink?" she asked in a monotone voice "Coffee." Summer and I both said in unison, glancing at each other across the Get more content on HelpWriting.net

The four seasons are a way for Mother Nature show us the big differences on what type of clothing, food, and activities that we should be wearing depending on the temperature outside. Especially, Summer and Winter whose extremes can determine how much our life changes during those seasons. Most of the time, between summer and winter a person's daily activities, and habits are completely different. A study taken by Northern Illinois University shows that parents usually have no problem sending their kids outside in the summer months when the sun is shining, and it is warm outside. When the weather changes from sunny, and hot to cold and dreadful is when parents have a little less trust sending their children into the colder weather. The study states that sending your child to play outside in the winter months improves their immune system, stimulates the brain leading to a better imagination, and it promotes problem solving skills. For example, children playing outside in the winter rather than playing video games inside are more likely to be able to solve real life problems and they are more outgoing when it comes to making friends. These are the many reasons to travel to popular destinations and have fun with the activities of summer or winter. There is a wide range of foods that people eat from summer to winter. For instance, being from Minnesota people are really into grilling and cooking food on the fire in the summer months but in the winter people like cooking soups and broths on the stove and in crockpots. In summer, because it is always so hot outside people would like to eat cold food like ice cream to keep them cooled down in the heat. During winter however, because it is Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 15. Summer Program Application Essay The reason as to why I am applying for this summer program is because of the opportunity that it provides. Programs such as these gives the unique opportunity to explore multiple different career paths. But, not only does it provide a learning opportunity, it also allows a cultural one. Being able to travel and live in a foreign country at such a young age is one of the most memorable and amazing things that you can do. I believe that if accepted into this program, that I will do my very best to prove myself dedicated as a student because I want to spend my life learning and preparing myself for the real world as a careered woman. I have always loved looking and participating in art classes, although I am not the best artist, and I enjoy learning about the history behind different art techniques. But I think that international relations would be something that is absolutely amazing to learn about because through this I could learn about the connections and effects that occur between so many different nations, and learn about how they interact with one another. I feel like I could provide an interesting perspective to this program, for the main reason of having been apart of programs similar to this one during previous summers. I work well with others, and I always try to keep an open mind as to avoid biases and to be more empathetic and understanding towards others. I am very adaptive to my surroundings even if that means changing topics within a classroom discussion. Something else about me is that I am what is known as an ambivert. This means that I sit in the scale between being and introvert and an extrovert. Although iI do tend to sway more towards the introverted side, but only for the reason that I can get lost in my own thoughts or go for hours without taking a break from a book that I am Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 16. Summer Narrative Essay The summer leading into my senior year of high school was complicated as well as interesting. Things happened that I would have never expected. However, it was, all around, a great summer. I wouldn't take any event away if I had the option. My summer included a trip to Virginia Beach with my then boyfriend, getting my first job, and helping my parents with their business. I had never been to Virginia Beach until this trip; I hadn't been to a beach in more than ten years. This trip was a turning point in my relationship with my now ex–boyfriend. We had a decent hour and a half drive to get there. Once we actually made it to the beach is when things started going downhill. We put out our towels as blankets on the sand and started to get into the beach vibe. I went down to the water and started taking in the beauty that is the ocean with the sounds of the birds and chatter of families around me. When we were in the water, I accidentally splashed him in the face with water, and he stormed back to our spot. He wasn't in a good mood for the rest of the day. Later on, when we went to dinner, it took us an hour to get our food. Then on the way home, I was almost driven off of a bridge by a truck. There were smaller events that made the trip not as fun, too. However, if I had the opportunity to erase the trip, I wouldn't because it showed me more about him in those six to seven hours than it did in the three years we were together. We did enjoy each other's company during this trip, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 17. Summer Day Descriptive Writing It was a gorgeous summer day. the sun was shining, the birds were singing, and the world was at peace on the seemingly carefree sunday afternoon. church had just ended and the children ran fast and free ready to play. They ran two and twelve towards the town's lake to go swimming, in order to ward off the heat of the noon sun. They stampeded through town bumping over numerous people and even one another to reach the cool blue waves. The menacing multitude took a sharp turn from the street to an old dusty road. The trees shook in the evening breeze and swayed slightly further when the children hurried by. Dust faintly clouded out the light that poured over the path. Finally they reached the dock and began to take off and swap clothes. The boys took off their shirts and pants and swam in their underwear, while the girls chose to go behind some nearby bushes.and exchange out their attire. When everyone was in they started to splash one another while laughing and shouting. A few of them dived under the water to search for fish and other sea life. When they came back, up two of them had seaweed, one held a starfish, and two others had a crab holding it by both sides. It was getting a little later in the day, but the kids were not quite yet ready to leave their fun to rest. They decided to play hide and seek even though the sun was beginning to make its descent behind the green curtains that were the distant hills. One child counted while everyone hid and waited. • 18. Reflective Essay On Summer Reading In my Summer Reading Essay, I see many skills I could improve on and many things that I need to continue in further essays. The first thing I struggled with was MLA format, specifically the heading, and the header. So while writing this essay, I took another try at completing the heading, and header. When rewriting my essay, I will double check to make sure I include the proper format; I can access the format by looking it up on the internet. Another thing I struggled with, was the simple formatting techniques including underlining the title of the novel, and center the title of the paper. I practiced centering the title when writing this reflection piece, and I can score better on my next essay on this formating by remembering to check formating, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 19. Descriptive Essay About My Summer Vacation It was a beautiful day to try something new at Doheny State Beach in Dana Point, California. It was a long year in fourth grade, and my family and I were excited to start our summer vacation. As we pulled our trailer on the southbound I–5 freeway towards San Diego, I could see the temperature gauge on my father's truck slowly dropping to the mid 70's. We were in a packed car with my father, mother, older brother, younger sister, snacks and drinks everywhere, and me, entranced by the game on my brand new iPod that I recently received on my birthday. I had gone on camping trips my whole life so I was thrilled to go to a new beach and campground, but I was bewildered when we pulled into a Costco parking lot. I asked my father, "Why are we at...show more content... The board came in a heat shrunk plastic cover with the fins, leash, and directions enclosed. We ripped off the plastic cover like it was wrapping paper and gathered the tools we needed: a quarter to fit the extremely large flathead hole on the top of the fins, a knife to cut the leash to the desired length, and a black Sharpie to write our names on it. After we had finished, my father came to inspect our work. He concluded his inspection by placing the surfboard in the back of the truck, implying that we were successful and that it would be ready for tomorrow. I was entranced by the thought of surfing, I dreamt all night about monstrous waves like in the movies, and gliding along side dolphins as they played in the ocean. That morning I woke up like it was Christmas, early, energized, curious, and excited. In preparation, I put on my swimsuit and practiced paddling and popping up on my skateboard as I rode around the campground at seven o'clock in the morning. It seemed like forever until my family woke up and was finally ready to go to the beach. Luckily, Mason and I only had to walk a total of 200 meters to get the board into the water; unfortunately, half of the trek was through soft sand, and took over five minutes. Eventually, we were ready to make our first surfing memories. Mason was elected to go first since he was older and it was his present. My father waded into the water and pushed Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 20. What I did this summer. That`s a good question to be honest, I did a lot of things that were considered fun for me, like shopping, hanging out with my family, hanging out with my friends, going to the beach, the water park and much more. But I will only break it down to two or three of my favorite things I did this Summer, so stick around to see what my favorite things about this Summer were. Like I said in my introduction, this paragraph will be about when I went shopping multiple times with my family. I know it might sound dumb for a first paragraph but, too me it was awesome. That's because, I love spending time with my family, especially when we're all getting along. Let me break down this day for you. First it was a good morning, my mom made me breakfast and everyone was in a good mood. My Brother was happy, my Dad was being hilarious, and my Mom just seemed like she was having a great time. Then we all got dressed, I was making sure that I looked extra stunning. So we get into the car and my favorite song comes on "Despacito" so my family and I all started singing it together. About an hour later we get to the South lake Mall and we went to four stores, Hollister, Vans, Journeys, and American Eagle. My Mom, Brother, and I all went to those four stores while my Dad went shopping somewhere else. It was going well , we were all having a fantastic time together. Then once we were done shopping we went to McDonald's got some food because, who doesn't adore McDonald`s right? Then we headed back home, it was a great day and for sure one of my favorite memories from this Summer. Keep in mind my family and I did this like 2 or 3 times this year, so it was extra fun. My second paragraph will be about when I went to Deep River Water–park with my friends, Eliot Cates, Ben Herz, Adam Collard, Cole Watson, and Alden Cates. It was honestly such a great time especially because, I was with my close friends. We went there for Eliot`s birthday. I was so excited when my Mom showed me the text saying I got invited, I got all my snacks, clothes, and towels ready, days before it was actually time for the "party". We were supposed to go on Wednesday, in July. So I get all ready and we head off for Eliot`s house, everyone Get more content on HelpWriting.net
