May I take this opportunity to welcome all distinguished guests
present here. including the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of
Nigeria to the United States, H. E. Frof. Adebowale Adefuye; Mrs Noami
King, eldest living member of the family of the tate Civil Rights sage, Dr.
Martin Luther King Jr.; the Guest Speaker, Dr. Aeeez F. Adedutan and
the awardees.
2. I congratulate the Association of Nigerian Organizations in
Georgia {ANOG}, for its commendable organization of this event. which
has become en annual one. ANOG has translated to an example of the
Nigerian organizational excellency, unity in diversity and oneness of the
Nigerian comrnunal spirit. I urge ANOG not only to remain steadfest in
this direction, but to also continue to improve along the lines of
progress.
3- My congratulations also go to the recipients for the award. Going
through their remarkable pedigree and citations, it is honour well
deserved. I commend them for their public spiritedness, for their
generosity of heart in giving to the less privileged and for carrying the
flag of Nigeria to lofry heights es our informal emhassadors. I am
2. confident that they would stay committed to the values and actions
thet have hrought them this recognition.
4- As I mentioned in another forum, as Nigeria'ns, there are lots of
work for us to do towards the socio-eeonomic development of our
country. I therefore urge every Nigerian to join the Transformatisn
Train of Fresident Gsodluck Jonathan towards the development of our
fatherland. No contribution is too liftle to make.
