We are exploring the following areas to understand this issue.
The survey is divided up into these above sections
How can you get involved?
Every person that
completes the survey
will get a personalised
analysis to help them
understand their
situation
Every city with +10
people completing the
survey will get a local
analysis you can use to
stimulate debate on
precarity in your group
Responses from cities
ross Europe will provide
a transnational analysis
we can use to develop
future projects
Please encourage your local members to fill in the survey and carry
out interviews that we can turn into stories .
What methods can you use?
As well as the survey, you can also select from one of the following
methods on the next slide to gather the research. Whichever method
you choose, please:
This will help us produce an analysis that can help us compare
between cities to produce the scenarios & guide. On the next slide are
examples of how you can interview young people, do share other

Design Methods Guide

  • 1. How young people cope with trying to make a living Situation Young people's basic living situation Expectations How young people feel they have achieved and expect of the future Emotions How young people cope emotionally with making a living Actions How young people cope practically to make a living and what support they look for Attitudes Effect of the young people's work situation on their attitudes on society We are exploring the following areas to understand this issue. The survey is divided up into these above sections
  • 2. How can you get involved? Every person that completes the survey will get a personalised analysis to help them understand their situation Every city with +10 people completing the survey will get a local analysis you can use to stimulate debate on precarity in your group Responses from cities ross Europe will provide a transnational analysis we can use to develop future projects Please encourage your local members to fill in the survey and carry out interviews that we can turn into stories .
  • 3. What methods can you use? As well as the survey, you can also select from one of the following methods on the next slide to gather the research. Whichever method you choose, please: This will help us produce an analysis that can help us compare between cities to produce the scenarios & guide. On the next slide are examples of how you can interview young people, do share other methods you want to use!   • 4. Send out the survey to your members Interview groups or organisations working with young people Interview young people face-to-face, by email, audio or video Interview young people in public spaces they interact in Research Methods

Your role is to ask the interviewee the Survey Question and make sure they’ve understood the exercise and your questions  Concentrate on the answers from the interviewee  If you feel they want to talk more about a question, ask them to tell you more  Question anything you don’t understand from the interviewee At the end of the interview  Ask them at the end if there is something you haven’t asked they’d like to share  Thank them for participating, ask them for their email address so they can check the interview, get a self assessment and find out how they can get more involved in the Project  Advise them that their interview will be published on www.euroalter.com and may be featured in guide on how young people cope with precarity  Advise them that their interview will be used to develop the personas & scenarios After the interview  Organise a debriefing with the Reporter documenting your interview  Make sure the Reporter sends the interview to the Project Team Interviewer

Your role is to document the answers in the Interview using the Survey Questionnaire and send it to the Project Team  Concentrate on the answers from the interviewee  Write down the answers in the Survey Questionnaire After the interview  Organise a debriefing with the Interviewer documenting your interview  Write up the interview  Send the interview to the Interviewee to check they are happy with it  Send the interview to the Project Team Reporter
