Born in a family of immigrant engineers who were teachers and artists in their past lives, Norman developed a wild curiosity early on (as a toddler he once asked if coffee goes into the exhaust pipe for a firetruck). Taking that inquisitiveness to college, he studied and experimented with a variety of disciplines, from advertising to graphics design to management consulting. Coming full circle to his roots, he pursued software product design after graduation, which intersected artistry (thanks mom!) with scientific inquiry (thanks dad!).
