2. Franklin D. Roosevelt is known as one of the most
important Presidents.
He was born and raised in NewYork, where he would
later become Senator and then Governor.
His time in office had many impacts, including helping
America out of an economic crisis, and giving the
Executive branch more power.
FDR is the only President to run more than two terms.
He died during his 4th term due to Polio, which he kept
hidden and refused to accept till the end. He was also
known to cheat on his wife from time to time.
3. This US Constitutional Amendment abolished
slavery and involuntary servitude.
Considered the beginning of one of the biggest
social movements in America.
Although this Amendment freed the slaves, it did
not require fair treatment to blacks, which was later
added to the Constitution.
Many Americans lost their lives fighting over this
issue, and it’s a huge evolutionary step for our
country.

Nelson is the chairman of the Aging Committee, and a

He is known for standing up to big insurance companies,
Wall Street and Big Oil. He’s helped NASA plan for future
missions, and is now fighting for lower taxes, better
education, Medicare and Social Security.
He was born on September 29th, 1942 in Miami, Florida. In
1986 he went on the space mission Colombia as a Payload
Specialist.

He is the vice chair member of Business and Professional
Regulation Subcommittee and Health Innovation
Subcommittee, and member of the Appropriations,
Regulatory Affairs, and the Rulemaking Oversight and
Repeal committees.
He is in the process of serving his second term.
Greg has done a lot charity work for children and wounded
veterans, and is very politically active on those issues.
He was born on May 19th, 1978 in Bradenton, FL, went to
University of Florida, served in the US Army from 2004-2008,
and has been awarded many medals for his service in Iraq
andAfghanistan.
