6. Mandarin Course Fall 2012 and
Spring 2013
Strong Points:
The module contains a very good
material and there were two small
classes.
Weaknesses:
• The students keep on
decreasing.
• Three meetings were not
enough.
• The place was not convenient
enough. Should be in a class
room.
• Mandarin class should be start in
the early semester.
7. Seminar of Public Speaking
Strong Points:
Good speaker and materials.
Weaknesses:
• Time limit, so the speaker couldn’t cover all the materials
and there’s no time for question and answer.
Seminar of Academic Writing
Strength Points:
This event was being held smoothly and finish sooner than the schedule.
Weaknesses:
The duration length of searching speakers’ candidate is too short. Next time should
start it earlier.
8. NTUST-ISA Library
• It was not well informed. Information about available books is published on mailing
list, and NTUST-ISA Facebook. Yet it still not efficient enough for publication.
• Limited storage space.
Information Sharing of Scholarships and Conferences
Occasionally posted on mailing list or facebook
Seniors Guidance Fall 2012 and Spring 2013
• This activity went well and new students can get many information from seniors.
• There was a difficulty in finding seniors from some department which did not have
current Indonesian student
9. Inputs and Suggestions
• Mandarin Class
Participant cash deposit system.
Appreciation to the instructors.
• Academic Writing
The committee should try to contact the speaker
candidate as soon as possible, suggested 2
months before the event
• NTUST-ISA Library
Thus, the books especially textbooks could be
sold to the new students with friendly price to
reduce the inventory and at the same time to
provide cash for NTUST-ISA.
10. Responsibilities:
• To help new Indonesian
students of NTUST in
managing all the
requirements regarding
to their arrival in Taiwan.
• To help and facilitate all
problems of NTUST-ISA

• Inventory & Culture division focused more on answering the high amount of
performances invitations.
• A person that was assigned as the catalog designer, for some reasons can’t come back
to Taiwan during this period, so we can’t continue this project.
• Since the amounts of performances in this period somehow were more than enough,
this project was decided to be stopped.
Inventory Record & Control
Committees have been successfully recorded and managed all inventories on hand.
Every borrowing also has been recorded carefully.
23. Inputs & Suggestions for IC
• Suggestions for the I&C team member:
– Divide the job to the appropriate amount of people and people with high commitment is
in a great need.
– Choose 1 person to be a Person in charge (PIC) in each dance.
– Keep all the dances practice continuously with or without the performance request.
– Always try to regenerate the dancers and schedule the regular practices.
– Continue the making of NTUST-ISA culture catalog.
• Suggested activities to be an annual event:
– Participating at NTUST Anniversary and NTUST Welcoming New Student (Club exhibition).
– Participating at NTUST Welcoming New Student, AIA Welcoming New Student, and AISCT.
– Visitation to IOCA (practicing traditional dance together) and invite them to participate in
our annual event (ICE).
• Give special attention in:

26. Information sharing via social media:
The increase of social media usage
among members of NTUST-ISA make our
committees not only sharing information
and communicating via mailing list, but
also via Facebook, Twitter, Youtube,
Slideshare, etc.
Indonesian version of NTUST’s website:
Unfortunately, the access delegated to NTUST-ISA is no longer functioning. It was confirmed with
OIA that there has been a new rule regarding the school’s site password usage and that the project
has been suspended.
NTUST-ISA’s website:
It was truly unfortunate to have the site ravaged by an accident during the development of NTUST-
ISA’s sub-site for Indonesian Culture Exhibition. We have been able to get the site back online, but
the outdated contents need to be replenished.
27. Maintain Relationship with External Parties:
IETO IDN Taiwan IOCA
Alumni Sharing:&Database
• The content was helpful for NTUST-ISA
members because gave many
information about professional
working experience and also research
assistant.
• Need more focus of attention on
alumni database.
28. Domain Extension:
So, as long as the mail is regularly
checked, there should not be any
problem with this activity in the future.
Group maintenance:
Ever since its establishment last year,
mailing list has been having some
trouble with the member addition and
group’s calendar. Unfortunately, until the
end of the year, there is no significant
response or reparation.
Hence, a new group has been prepared.
Internal trials with the staffs have also
been done. As soon as this new platform
has been communicated with the
members and approved, NTUST-ISA’s
group mailing list can safely migrate to it.
29. Inputs & Suggestions for MR
• Continue the development of new mailing list.
• Establish an officer-independent server setup to avoid constant server
movement.
• Build a cooperative relation with alumni, create more activities
with/for them.

36. Inputs & Suggestions for TI
• Talent and Interest’s activities in NTUST-ISA most likely
about sports, but another type of activities is still needs
to be more encouraged.
• Some of activities (NTUST-ISA T-Shirt and Photo
hunting) cannot be realized in this period, maybe
because of less of interests from the participants and
committee so maybe in the next term it can be realized.
• Try to create activities which can makes all member of
NTUST-ISA could be participated in it, by pulling
demand from members.
• More publicity required to draw more attention from
the members of NTUST-ISA.
