Leadership Succession in the Arts: What Current and Future Leaders Need to Succeed

This document summarizes findings from several studies and focus groups about leadership needs in the arts sector. It finds that many current arts leaders are retiring, few organizations have succession plans, and emerging leaders face barriers to advancement like lack of mentorship and low pay.
