CyberKnife® treats patients with a
procedure called stereotactic
radiosurgery, a noninvasive method of
treating tumors with precisely focused
high-dose radiation.
CyberKnife treatment is complete in
five or fewer procedures and does not
require surgery or sedation.

Medical Director:
Diane Heaton, M.D.
Dr. Heaton was the first physician to perform
radiosurgery in the state of Oklahoma and has 15 years
of experience with this form of treatment.
Dr. Heaton is a member of the American Society of
Radiation Oncology, OSMA, AMA and ACR and has
received many awards in recognition of her clinical
excellence. She has special experience and interest in
hyperthermia, brachytherapy and radiosurgery.

Radiation Oncologist:
Joshua Garren, M.D.
Dr. Garren is an award winning, board-certified radiation oncologist. At the
age of 17, Dr. Garren was accepted to the Brown Medical School’s combined
Program in Liberal Medical Education. He trained on the first radiosurgery
system in New England and worked on the first radiosurgery system in New
York during his neurosurgery training at NYU Medical Center.
Months prior to joining Oklahoma CyberKnife, Dr. Garren was named to the
first US News and World Report list of top doctors in the United States.
Dr. Garren’s research on minimizing the side effects of radiation has been
presented internationally and has been supported and recognized by the
Defense Threat Response Agency, the Department of Defense, the Howard
Hughes Medical Institute, the American Heart Association, the Sarnoff
Society, the American Foundation for Aging Research, the Pharmaceutical
Research and Manufacturer’s Association, the Wise Grant, and numerous
others.

Radiation Oncologist:
Connie Nguyen, M.D.
Dr. Nguyen received her medical degree from the
University of California (UCLA) in Los Angeles. After
completing an internship at UCLA School of Medicine,
Dr. Nguyen completed a three-year residency in
Radiation Therapy at Stanford University School of
Medicine in Stanford, California.
Dr. Nguyen is a member of the American Society of
Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology and is certified by
the American Board of Radiology in Radiation
Oncology.
