1. CHAPTER SUMMARY
On 23th April 1998, Edward Crowe came out from the glacier on the north side of
the Matterhorn mountain above Zermatt in Switzerland.
They were having a drink when suddenly the telephone rang. Clare (Edward Crowe
daughter) answered it. It was the foreign Office, they told her that they have found
the death body of her grandfather which appeared out of the Matterhorn. When
Clare and Andrew were children they were very proud that their grandfather had
died while climbing.
So there was a kind of mystery in their family. Clare decided to pick up the dead
body in Zermatt. But she also told her editor Kevin at “daily news” about that so she
had to made a story out of it. Marjorie (Edward Crowe daughter) wasn’t really
surprised about the telephone call, because she had got a letter from the authorities
about her father six months ago.

2. OPINIONS
Clare Newton:
This story is very interesting. It has a lot of mystery. My Grandfather had a love
story in Zermatt, and finally was killed by other climber who loved Marianne too.
Marjorie Newton:
I don’t remember very well my summer holiday in Zermatt, but thanks to this book I
can know my father’s story from different points of view. Marianne was a beautiful
girl.
Kevin Gaskell (Daily news):
I published this story in my newspaper. Next day the Daily news was in over the
world. Thanks to Clare we are the first published newspaper edition. Well done.

Good, except for the biography, which needs
rewriting.
