Specific Objectives
• Raise awareness and widen HEI participation in OER and OEP;
• Define the OER Agenda for the re-use of OER at HE institutional
level;
• Define mid-term strategic roadmaps for the implementation of
the OER Agenda at local-institutional level according to the local,
cultural and institutional needs and strategies;
• Teach university teachers how to use and reuse OER in a
pedagogically-rich context and improve their digital competences;
• Pilot start-up open educational practices and offer to students
flexible and up to date open contents and learning paths.

Universities
It is a set of long-term recommendations for OER
adoption in South-Mediterranean Universities.
The aim is to become the starting point for the
development of both policies and roadmaps at
institutional level, and it will inform the training
of trainers component of the OpenMed project.

A learning journey to open up Teaching in Higher Education
The OpenMed Capacity Building course aims to build capacity on Open Education and Open
Educational Resources (OER) among universities in the South Mediterranean region. The course
targets primarily university teachers with an interest in learning more about Open Education and with
a motivation to adopt Open Education approaches and OER into their teaching.
