  2. 2. Why? <ul><li>In Large Enterprises sometimes the app delivery team and the infrastructure team might have to monitor the same device for different reasons... </li></ul>
  3. 3.   But they see things differently Its an Oracle 10 G database serving the ERP application.  Got to monitor table space, SGA, Session waits, Rollback segment etc ... Its a HP ProLiant DL380 G6 Server running on a four node cluster with high availability model on a 2008 R2 OS with 64G RAM and storage on the netapp.  Got to monitor disc i/o, network i/o, cpu, mem, ... Infrastructure admin Oracle DBA

Why a big4 solution might fail here <ul><li>A single integrated platform that supports both domains might sound like a good idea initially but it fails in these departments </li></ul>Its sucking our productivity, there's still lot of in-fighting between teams as they lack control. Four years gone i still don't have any clue what the heck is going on globally... If we renew this software we have to lay off 50% of our staff to stay within budget this year ! Your call steve.
