16. The openIDL streamlines the burdensome statistical reporting process that provides little value to
insurance carriers and insufficient information for insurance regulators. It offers carriers a secure and
reliable blockchain environment for the storage and selective sharing of statistical data (policy,
premium, claims and loss experience data) with AAIS as an authorized statistical agent and advisory
organization. With access to timely and accurate information, regulators and reporting carriers receive
more holistic and dynamic reporting, as well as valuable and relevant insights into exposures and
market trends. Once reports are complete, regulators review and publish the report to the openIDL.

“After in-depth understanding of the goal of this engagement Paramount chose
partnership with EnerBlock because of its deep understanding of the energy distribution
systems under the new model, and its existing patents in power electronics
architecture.”
18. Paramount and its partner, EnerBlock (a power electronics architecture specialist) developed a proof of
concept to build a blockchain-enabled marketplace for solar and wind energy generated by Distributed
Energy Resources (DER). DERs are resources that produce electricity connected to a local distribution
system or a host facility within a local distribution system. A Blockchain technology enabled “virtual
power plant” network would autonomously aggregate power from distributed energy assets. This
would allow retail consumers to sell excess power that was derived from clean energy, to promote
decentralization without sacrificing grid stability. This innovation can save $10BN a year on transmission
and distribution losses.

20. Joisto structured the state-of-the-art Blockchain Archive so
companies can get the benefits of blockchain technology
while still adhering to the GDPR standards, which require a
single data controller. Solving the puzzle without a DLT would
not be possible; only this technology makes it possible to
store immutable records while still being flexible enough to
comply with regulations. The Joisto Blockchain archive uses
‘off-chain storage,’ which means that the actual documents in
the archive or their metadata are not stored in the ledger.
Instead, cryptographic checksums of the documents along
with logs of events that happened in the archive are stored
on-chain.

22. Loyalty programs have been on the rise in the retail, hotel, and airline sectors and for good reason:
Consumers who adopt a rewards program (and give it a favorable review) are almost 80 percent more
likely to continue spending money with the brand. To help consumers consolidate their rewards
programs and to help brands win back customers, Mindtree developed $wap, a blockchain-based
loyalty exchange platform in which customers can redeem reward points across providers for goods
and services. The platform allows merchants to negotiate exchange rates for points stored on the
ledger. Merchants are connected using one channel with different nodes; each node represents a
single organization each consisting of two peers. The endorser for each transaction is the $wap
organization, which uses Raft consensus spread across different VMs for endorsing transactions.
23. The Government of Sindh with the support of World Bank initiated the SAGP project for the
well-being of small-scale farmers and overall development of the agricultural sector. With the help of
Collabrex platform, farmers have an access to a digital marketplace from where they can
conveniently acquire relevant equipment and resources seamlessly – while organizations can keep
a complete and immutable trace of the provided equipment and resource. The platform can be
easily extended to support allocation, dispatch and tracking of equipment and resource in any
industry vertical. Avanza is proud to to implement the first-ever production grade Blockchain
solution in Pakistan.
24. The pharmaceutical supply chain relies on paperwork and manual transcription from one system of
record to another. Many medicines go out in bulk and are divided until the dispenser counts the
patient’s drug into an amber bottle. The challenge for the 21st century is to reduce suspect or
illegitimate product while ensuring patient data security. Ledger Domain and UCLA created a
last-mile mobile application that helps deliver lifesaving medications to babies at the famed Ronald
Reagan UCLA Medical Center
