This document provides details about the characters, setting, costumes, props, and lighting for a short film called "The Red Hunter". The main characters are Red, who will have claw marks and dark makeup to look mean, and the Wolf, who will have sfx makeup and claws to look animalistic. The second wolf will also be made to look scary but will be dressed as Red's grandmother to deceive Red. The film will be shot in the woods to look believable and an abandoned house will represent a flashback scene. Red's costume includes a red cloak while the wolves wear disguises. Natural lighting will be used but edited later to be more dramatic.
2. CONCEPT
Little Red Riding Hood 1949 – for the original
story.
"RED" Red Riding Hood Horror Film – the
scarier, twisted elements.
Dracula untold– because of the camera angles,
editing, lighting and the locations.
4. CHARACTERS
Red is going to be mean
looking with claw marks on
her right side of her face.
To create this look we will
be using spirit gum and scar
wax as well as body paint to
create a real looking scars.
She will be wearing dark
make-up so that she looks
mean.
Wolf is going to be this
mean looking creature. To
create this look we will use
spirit gum to create bigger
brow bone and make the
nose wider to give more
animalistic look. We will
also take his hair line
forwards and make it go
down in a triangle on the
forehead, as well as
applying some fake hair on
the cheeks, down to the
jaw line.
The second wolf is going to
be created the same way as
the first wolf, just as scary
but is going to be dressed in
Granma clothes to deceive
Red.
5. SETTING/ LOCATION
We are planning to shoot this in the woods in Brotton as it would be the perfect location
and this would also allows us to make it more believable. The flash back is going to
happen in a house that is going to look kind of abandoned and old with the help of the
lighting.
6. COSTUMES/PROPS
Red
Red will be wearing a black skirt
with knee length leggings and
some belts and holsters on her legs
for the guns and daggers that she
will have on her. On top she will
have black fitting tank top and over
that she will have the symbolic red
cloak.
Wolf
The wolf will be wearing black
jeans and a brown shirt. The wolf
will have sfx make up to make him
look animalistic and as well as
claws to make him look more
dangerous.
Wolf/Grandma
The second wolf will look
similar to the first one however
she will be wearing Grandma
clothes.
7. LIGHTING
As for the lighting we are planning to do this at noon to get the best
natural light we can get however we will also edit the lighting at the
end of the Short, and add filters so that it is more dramatic.
