Poverty:The Harsh Realities Did you know: 1 billion people in the world live on less than one dollar a day. 15 out of every 100 children in Sub-Saharan Africa die before they reach the age of five. Malaria still kills millions of people every year, mostly children, becauseof conditions of extreme poverty.
