• Lead all aspects of NRDC’s and NRDC AF’s
climate advocacy campaigns. Managed over $10
million in advocacy resources and numerous teams,
staff and consultants.
• Co-founded the $17 million/year Climate Action
Campaign in 2010; continue to serve as Senior
Campaign Advisor. Work with CAC Director to craft
campaign strategy, review and approve campaign
plans; and manage coalition dynamics.
• Won political support for climate action with more
sophisticated targeting, messaging, accountability
and policymaker engagement.

Rejuvenated a faltering campaign to expose the destructive effects of the Bush Administration’s
public lands policies, and key constituencies and the public in support of stronger protections.
Executive Director, Texas Fund for Energy and Environmental Education, 1996 – 2003
Develop and implement programs to promote clean energy policies, corporate accountability and
citizen empowerment.
• Led environmental, faith, environmental justice, community and public health
constituencies to get power plant clean up and renewable energy standard laws passed
and signed by then-Governor George W. Bush.
• Led a religious and progressive investor campaign against ExxonMobil’s climate denial.
• Organized “Empowering Democracy” conferences with diverse progressive groups to
promote citizen power over corporate influence.
Texas Citizen Fund, 1994-1995
Developed successful grant proposals, organized renewable energy events with businesses,
elected officials, utilities and other supporters, wrote reports about sustainable energy for Texas.
Development Director, Ecology Action of Texas, 1990 -- 1993
Created and funded a new position. Starting from nearly zero, raised nearly $1 million over two
years. Responsible for developing and implementing recycling, education and fundraising
programs. Managed staff, volunteers and non-violent offenders.
