                              produce. If NOT, the result can be a loss. A loss occurs when expenses

Vincent pays Delrich $100 in credit for the shoe so he can wear it to school tomorrow, and Delrich recognizes the $100 as revenue. • Expense is the cost associated with operating a business. − For example, Kenesha’s Forever 16 sells dresses. She hires Juan, Sabrina and Patricia to make the dresses and pays each one $10 per S hour. She also has to pay Marvin for the fabric in order to make the dress and Mr. Limon for the space where she sells the dresses. − Salary is the money paid to someone for the work they do. − Rent is the money paid to use or occupy a space.
