Newsletter.The sixth meeting in Mölndal

Virgen del Pasico School is a partner in an Erasmus+ school-to-school project in which
pupils and teachers are learning about how to use metacognitive strategies in the
teaching-learning process and this helps all of them to improve in their tasks.
The sixth meeting in Mölndal, Sweden
We met in Mölndal, Sweden from 19th
to 24th
May 2019.
We were the coordinator from each partner country and an accompanying teacher and 4 or
five students, we were from Denmark, Greece, Spain and Finland.
Saturday was the arrival day and students went to their hosts’ houses and spent the
afternoon and evening with them and their families. Teachers went to the hotel and meet in
the evening for dinner in the town center.
Project activities.
On Sunday morning we meet in the school and students took part on a speed date to get to
know each other better; then each country group introduced each other and presented the
videos about their country, town and school. Then we had lunch and students went to spend
the afternoon and evening with their hosts and teacher met for the coordinators meeting.
On Monday we met at school and students started working with the project activity “Future
Jobs” , they had to choose a job, write an applicarion form and a CV for that. After lunch we
2. went to Gothemborg Central Park, where in groups they had to answer some questions
about the animals and places in the park; then they played Brännboll.
On Tuesday we went to the forest where students did orientaring and then we visited a nice
palace. We went back to school for lunch ans after that students continued with the activity
“Future Job” doing and having interviews for their jobs. Teachers had anotherr coordinators
meeting.
3. On Wednesday we took a guided tour at World Center Museum in Gothemborg where
students did some activities connected to environment. After lunch we went on a boat tour of
the city.
On Thursday students took part on the UN-roleplay about environment and climate change
in which they had work before at home. All the deleagtions presented their speech, then they
met in commisions to try get to agreements, then they took part in the lobbying where had to
try to get other delegations to sign their proposal and finallly the two more supported
presented their proposals again and answered some questions about them.
In the afternoon students cooked their dinner and ate it in the farewell party at school, when
students had a good chance to dance, play and enjoy all together.
4. Cultural activities.
We also had time to visit Mölndal, Gothembog and had dinner all together in different
restaurants in town, when we could socialize and get to know each other better.
It was a great experience for all students, who wanted to stay longer, as well as for teachers,
who will have the final coordinators meeting in Augost in Spain which will be another chance
to work and enjoy together.
