MICROCYTIC ANEMIA
This type of anemia is caused due to the failure in producing hemoglobin. The
hemoglobin gets used up at a much faster pace that it is produces. This leads
to deficiency of RBCs in the blood. .
The RBCs in this type of anemia appear
paler (hypochromic) and smaller in size
(microcytic), when examined under the
microscope. Deficiency of iron is yet
another cause of the occurrence of the
microcytic anemia

NORMOCYTIC ANEMIA
This type of anemia occurs due to the decrease in the level of the hemoglobin
despite the size of the RBCs are normal.
The major causes are acute
blood loss, failure of bone
marrow like Aplastic anemia
and anemia due to chronic
diseases like AIDS, cancer,
etc.

MACROCYTIC ANEMIA
This type of anemia is further classified into the following 2 categories.
Megaloblastic Anemia – The major cause is the
deficiencies of Vitamin B12 or folic acid
Non megaloblastic Anemia – The major cause is
several complicated illness and acute diseases.

HEINZ BODY ANEMIA
These are inclusions in the RBCs.

denatured hemoglobin.

Jaggery (Gur) is a good source of iron consume it

Beetroot is highly abundant in several BEETROOT
nutrients. This includes potassium,
fiber, folic acid and other nutrients.

blood and increase the hemoglobin level in the blood of the
