 Hybrid inverter is also known as smart grid inverter
 Hybrid inverter is a new generation of dedicated U.P.S (uninterepted
power supply) using renewable energy for home consumption ,
especially for solar photovoltaic installations.
 Renewable energy (solar energy , wind energy etc) sources plays an
important role in electricity generation.
 An inverter is an electrical device that converts direct current (DC)
to alternating current (AC); the resulting AC can be at any required
voltage and frequency with the use of appropriate transformers,
switching, and control circuits.
HYBRID INVERTER WITH SOLAR POWER SYSTEM
 Hybrid inverter with solar power system is an advance
system in which solar power and conventional electric
power. This Hybrid inverter with solar power system is
comprises of ac to dc converter to charge battery from
220vac supply. This charging system is consists of
transformer, rectifying diodes and some electronics
components. Dc to dc voltage and current controller circuit
is used to control charging from solar panel
 This project is designed by following blocks
 • Microcontroller
 • Solar panel with battery.
 • Relay
 • Switching circuit and filter
 • control circuit

Solar panels absorb the sunlight as a source of energy to
generate electricity or heat.
A photovoltaic (PV) module is a packaged, connect assembly
of typically 6x10 photovoltaic solar cells. Photovoltaic
modules constitute the photovoltaic array of a photovoltaic
system that generates and supplies solar electricity in
commercial and residential application
SOLAR PANEL:-
Needs Of Solar Power
 Electricity rate has hiked in last four years.
 We need to focus on alternate option because of environmental
concerns.
 It has several advantages over other forms of electricity
generation.
A Solar Inverter
 An electric battery is a device consisting of one or
more electrochemical cells with external connections provided to power
electrical
 When a battery is supplying electric power, its positive terminal is
the cathode and its negative terminal is the anode
 The terminal marked negative is the source of electrons that when
connected to an external circuit will flow and deliver energy to an external
device
BATTERY :-
 A relay is an electrically operated switch. Many relays use
an electromagnet to mechanically operate a switch, but other operating
principles are also used, such as solid-state relays. Relays are used where
it is necessary to control a circuit by a separate low-power signal, or
where several circuits must be controlled by one signal
RELAY :-
 Cost efficient.
 Reduce pollution.
 Low maintenance.
 Power management.
 Automatic system.
DISADVANTAGE
Solar energy is only available during day time.
Freqency adjusting is difficult.
 DC power source utilization applications include use of DC in motor
vehicles and from batteries to power AC loads and use of energy fromsolar
cells to power AC loads.
 . Use of inverters in uninterruptable power supplies (UPS) allows energy to
be stored as DC in batteries and used as AC whenneeded.
 In industrial equipment such as AC motor speed controls and induction
heating equipmentAC is converted to DC and then converted back toAC
at a different frequency or an adjustable range of frequencies.
 Inverters are used in some battery powered electric vehicles and in hybrid
vehicles to change DC to adjustable frequency AC to control AC motor
speed.
Conclusion
 Inverters are usually about 95% efficient. Inverters play a
significant role in providing alternate current supplies at the
times of crucial power requirements. The primary use of
solar inverters is to convert direct current to alternating
current through an electrical switching process.
 The wind & solar hybrid inverter consist of solar panel , wind turbine ,
controller , inverter & batteries , all of which can functionindependently
without utility power.
 The wind solar hybrid system are now being used widely in differentfields
, like street lighting , traffic , telecommunications base ,large scale
billboards & home power.

