  2. Entrepreneurship • “If the opportunity doesn’t knock, then build a door”-Milton Berly. Entrepreneurship is all about finding opportunity and converting the resources into profits, Entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship is the process of new ventures involving creativity and innovation. The whole idea about entrepreneurship is about self-employment which will generate employment opportunities for others. It is the most effective method for bridging the gap between science and the market place, creating new enterprises, and bringing new products and service to the market. Various researchers indicate that about 90% of the jobs are created by entrepreneurs. In the developing country like Nepal can give the boom to the economy of country. Nepal is ready to grow because it is young, energetic, and reaching out to participate in global economy. There are plenty of investment opportunities here.
  3. Being independent • Entrepreneurship plays a vital role in sustainable economic development of our nation. The future of Nepal cannot be dependent on foreign aids and remittance only. If we want to move forward on a sustainable economic growth, then there should be enough support and sustainable environment for new entrepreneurship and innovations.Entrepreneurship is important because it will not only create employment but it will create positive impact on the youths. Everyday young and energetic population are leaving Nepal in search of opportunities. If all the Nepalese citizens are engaged in entrepreneurship there is less dependence on the other countries. Entrepreneurship is the activity of setting up a business or businesses, taking on financial risks in the hope of profit. An entrepreneur is the one who sets up the business.
  4. Market • Entrepreneur finds a need in the market and comes up with a plan to an innovative business idea in order to fulfil the demand. Entrepreneurs take the responsibility of the upcoming business risks and be the role model as a leader to the employees and job applicants in the business premise. Entrepreneurs also take full responsibilities of the execution, the success or the failure of the business.
  5. R&D.Researchanddevelopment • Entrepreneurs develop, design, produce, market, and eventually sell businesses with the end goal of financial profit. There are entrepreneurs behind every business in the country, no matter what the size and scope. Entrepreneurs own and operate everything from small shoe stores to tech startups. A modern-day interpretation may associate being an entrepreneur with having an innovative and creative idea for online use, and with someone who can use the power of the internet to fill a niche. Entrepreneurship demands having initiative and a strong determination to succeed. It also requires an immense amount of confidence, tenacity, and independence.
  6. In context of Nepal. • Nepal is a developing country with an agricultural economy. In recent years, the country's efforts to expand into manufacturing industries and other technological sectors have achieved much progress. Agriculture is the mainstay of the economy, providing a livelihood for more than 70% of the population and accounting for a little over one-third of GDP. Industrial activity mainly involves the processing of agricultural products, including pulses, jute, sugarcane, tobacco, and grain. Nepal, being a country rich in water resources, has considerable scope for exploiting its potential in hydropower with an estimated 42,000 MW of commercially feasible capacity. It also has the potential to promote and grow the tourism sector as it is fully covered with beautiful snowcapped mountains, abundant flora and fauna, exiting trekking routes and rich cultural diversity.
  7. Nepal is more committed towards agriculture sector and the government is currently focusing on the modernization, diversification, commercialization and marketing of the agriculture sector. With increasing government support towards agriculture sector, entrepreneurs can take more advantage from it. But there is still hope in Nepal towards the path of entrepreneurship. The sectors like agriculture, tourism and IT have scopes for entrepreneurship. As per the latest World Bank annual rating, Nepal ranks at 110th position in the ease of doing business among 190 countries of the world. The many advantages for promoting entrepreneurship in Nepal like legal support, favorable environment, major youth population and abundant resources.
  8. SucessStories. • There are various success stories about entrepreneurs. One given below:Bonita’s journey started by campaigning about nutrition along with other youth using innovative tools such as the Nutribeads bracelet in the community. After receiving a lot of positive responses and appreciation for their work, Bonita decided to run a full- fledged social business to help, aware and reach out to more women. However, it’s only easy said than done. She started Social Changemakers and Innovators (Sochai) as an NGO, then slowly and steadily she came across social entrepreneurship in her journey and realized there is no such thing as free lunch. Running a social enterprise has further broadened her horizon and helped her connect with the inspirational women at the grassroots level which keeps her grounded and motivated.
