Having a career of over 35 years in the military with experiences in Human Resource Management,
Administration, Logistic Management and Operation, Communication & Information technology
(CIT), Media & Communication, Diplomatic Services, Civil Affairs, Humanitarian Law, Academia

Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army (May 2014 to May 2015)
Key Responsibilities:
Deputize the Commander of the Army when required.
Heads the staff at Army Headquarters.
Coordinating all Staff Work at Army Headquarters.
Ensuring the smooth functioning of Branches including Financial Management Branch.
Coordinate and control all operations in the field.

Responsible for all administrative and logistic control of approximately 63,000 personnel
including professionals in the Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF).
Maintaining discipline and control of expenditure (finance) in the SLAVF.
Chief of Staff/DG Doctrine and Training at the Office of the Chief of Defence Staff (April 2012
to August 2012)
Responsibilities:
Responsible for Operations, Administration, Logistic Control, Training and prepare doctrine
for Office of Chief of Defence Staff.
Chief Coordinator in Colombo Lotus Tower Project (January 2012 to May 2015) – In Addition
to Military Appointments.
Responsibilities:
Coordinating and supervising of the construction work of Lotus Tower, which is a landmark
development project in telecommunication and tourism industry in Sri Lanka.

Engaging with the local and overseas staff along with peripheral elements to achieve desired
timelines.
Liaising with Sri Lanka Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (TRCSL) on progress and
overall coordination with responsible elements of the project.
Director General Centre for Research and Development of the Ministry of Defence (June 2010
to May 2015) – In Addition to Military Appointments.
Responsibilities:
Heading the Centre for Research and Development which is responsible for all defence
related project in the Tri Services.
Chief Signal Officer - Sri Lanka Army (July 2009 to August 2011)
Responsibilities:
Provide communications to Command, Control and Administration of the Army.
Identifying and carrying out research and development work on all communication and
information technology matters Coordinating with the service providers.
Colonel Commandant Military Intelligence Corps of Sri Lanka Army (October 2010 to May
2014)
Responsibilities:
Looking after the interest of the Military Intelligence Corps and acting in an advisory
capacity to ensure consistency in Regimental administrative matters, infrastructure
development.
Advising on welfare activities for both serving and retired personnel of the regiment.
Foster Esprit- de- corps in the organisation.

Responsibilities:
Looking after the interest of the regiment and acting in an advisory capacity to ensure

communication projects.

Defense Advisor (Minister Counselor) Sri Lankan High Commission in UK (Sep 2007- May
2009)
Responsibilities:
Coordinate all defence related matters with UK government.
Conduct Media Campaign in UK regarding Sri Lankan Humanitarian war related matters.

Organize image building campaigns and fund raising activities for war heroes in Sri Lanka.
