Our town is more home to us than our actual house. We make so much memories around town,
whether it's dining out with the family at a local restaurant or learning how to ride a bike at our

Throughout my senior year, I have had the opportunity to write numerous introspective essays in
a feeble attempt to demonstrate to colleges the most important aspects of my personality. As a
result, today I have opted to take a different focus. Instead of describing solely who I am, I would

There are many ways to define beauty, but I feel like society plays a huge role in how beauty is
portrayed to women. I believe that society focuses more on what a person looks like than what they

He looks out across the bustling city street, shouldering the bag containing his meager possessions
for what seems like the hundredth time; an action that had long ago become habit, comforting in its
familiarity. His expression is one of determination, but his stance is one of utter defeat and loss. It

My best friend, I remember it was the first days of my senior year when I met my him, we had

Heaven help you if you do anything to endanger her family. My mom also does not go soft on her

I have a detailed past and an exciting future ahead, but in this moment I am still figuring out who I
am as a person. My view of myself may be slightly skewed compared to what others notice. I can

Another factor that plays a part in why I am shaped how I am is my family's economic
circumstances. I have always had access to anything I needed and for that I have extreme
gratitude because I know some people have a lot of difficulty in life. Since I was born into a
family with such good economic circumstances I have been lucky to have lots of opportunities.
One Opportunity I had as a child was participating in taekwondo. I did taekwondo until I reached a
blackbelt which took years of hardwork and dedication. I had to memorize forms, Spar with other
competitors and break boards in order to continue to move up to the next level. Taekwondo also
helped keep me in good shape and fit when I was younger. Another Opportunity I am grateful for is
the skill of playing the piano. At first I was not all that enthusiastic about playing it but my parents
has signed me up and insisted I

Who I Describe A Person Am I?
What type of person am I? Honestly that can be a difficult question to address. The person I am is
understanding and kind. However, it can be very difficult to always be that person. People are
constantly changing and adapting to the new situations they face. I have been through both
exuberant and tragic events and they have both shaped the person I am today but I am always
changing. I like to believe I am the kind of person anyone can go to if they need help.
To begin with, some of the most important people in my life, those who have gotten me to this
point, are my mother and my best friend Mary Barnett. My mother has always been at my side
since day one and she has never failed to help me through any tough situation. She taught me the
way the world works and encouraged me to chase my dreams. I owe my mother more than anyone
else. However, my best friend Mary Barnett has also been by my side for about 8 years now. She has
gotten me over the heartbreaks of losing friends to the death of my grandfather. No one can make
me feel as safe and secure as her. I owe her for teaching me to be kind to everyone even if no one is
kind to me. Both of these women have shaped my beliefs and the way I see the world.
Subsequently, there are many places, much like people, who have shaped the person I am. Theplace
I have spent the last 8 years was a unbelievably small town in Indiana. With a population nearly a
third of that of Cocoa Beach. One place that my best friend and I always went was this tiny park
directly in the center of town. The park was not much but we had so many late night talks and get to
know each other conversations at this park that it felt somehow important. Going to this tiny park
became impacting and I knew that every time we were supposed to meet, it would be at that park.
Places have a way of becoming important when you have more than one experience there. For me,
nothing is more important than that park.
Similarly, there are several events that have occurred in my life that made me into the person I am
today. Those events are huge moments in my life that either affected me in a negative or positive
way. Meeting my best friend was a huge event to me. I remember every detail on the day I met her
