- 6. #CARTOTECAUV Títle by any term Or by the title if known: Plano de la ciudad de Alicante Or by the sheet number of a cartographic series: 696 Creator It can be personal: Coello, Francisco An institution or company: Institut Cartogràfic Valencià Place names It is convenient to write them always in Valencian Alcoi, Alacant, França, Saragossa… It can be searched
- 7. #CARTOTECAUV Subjects Types of cartographies always in Valencian Mapes topogràfics, mapes de carreteres, mapes turístics, atles, fotografies aèries… Geografia històrica – for old maps It is convenient to use shortenings for better results : geolog*, carret* Notes You can search by any term used in the description Séquies, arbreda, escut… (especially on old maps) Scale 1:50.000, 1:25.000, 1:10.000 U.T.M (for technical elements)

- 10. #CARTOTECAUV Again, other filters can be applied: library, date of publication... … When the results are displayed, in the menu on the left of the screen, you can apply filters Choose the option“Tipus de recurs” (resource types) Select “mapa” (map)
- 11. #CARTOTECAUV ADVANCED SEARCH It allows more precise searches From From the biblioteques page, by clicking on the three lines in the right-hand corner of the simple search
- 12. #CARTOTECAUV You can add other search filters such as the language or the date of publication… Select the option “Catàleg” (catalogue) The fields (the option “qualsevol camp” offers good results if you do not know the specific field you want to search) The type of material, in this case “mapes” (maps) example: geological maps of Alcoi at a scale of 1:50,000
