1. CURIOSITY ROVER
The Mars Science
Laboratory(MSL) always called
Curiosity rover is a rover type
ship. It was launched to the
space on 26 November 2011 to
study Mars. It landed on the
Gale crater on 6 August 2012.
When the Rover arrives at Mars,
it tooks some photos to show
that the landing was good.
Curiosity Rover was in Mars for
4 years. In those 4 years it took
a lot of photos.
Here are some of them:
The rover body is called the warm
electronics box, or "WEB" for short. It is
like a car body, the rover body is a
strong, outer layer that protects the
rover's computer and electronics (which
are basically the equivalent of the rover's
brains and heart). The rover body keeps
the rover's vital organs protected and
temperature-controlled.

2. You can check that Mars is a sandy and rocky planet. But the
Curiosity Rover isn´t the only robot that arrives at Mars. In 2004,
there was another expedition there.

3. Although it looks incredible, the Curiosity Rover covered only
20 km of the ground of Mars.

5. The warm electronics box is closed on the top by a piece called the
Rover Equipment Deck (RED). The Rover Equipment Deck makes
the rover like a convertible car, allowing a place for the rover mast
and cameras to sit out in the martian air, taking pictures and clearly
observing the martian terrain as it travels.
