3. My family like sport because of my mother. When
she was a primary school student she was the
shortest and the smallest in her class. Besides
she was very shy and week. The boys often
gave her nicknames. It made her unhappy and she
cried .
4. It was her elder brother who took her in for sport
to make her strong and brave. He was a good
example for her. So my mum began to do athletics
as well as my uncle did. She trained much and did
her best to get good results.
5. Soon she began to take part in different
competitions not only in our town but other cities,
too. And she often became a prize winner.
Time passed but my Mum did not say «good- bye»
to her hobby. She did everything she could to
make our family sporty.
6. Thanks to her we swim in the river and in the
swimming-pool all the year round. My family enjoy
riding bikes.
In winter we often ski in the forest and skate in the
skating-rink.
7. Sport has made my family healthy and close.
I am sure it helps us to be strong and successful
in our lives.
