WHAT ARE WE DOING?

•A day workshop about graph processing co-located within the
next FOSDEM edition.

• Graph processing is a huge and important topic right now.

• Lots of companies are using this technologies, from social
networks to recommendation, etc.

• Lost of free and open source projects around the topic.

• An important topic inside the big data movement.


WHAT IS FOSDEM?

• The biggest Free and Open Source Developers Meeting in
Europe. Next edition 4th and the 5th of February 2012.

• 99% of technology talks.

• First edition in February 2000, and each year since that.

• Have more than 5000 participants each year.

• Have more than 21 talks in parallel.


WHY YOU SHOULD HELP US?

• Provide video records helps a lot the participants experience.

• The benchmarking game should engage people. Prices make it
possible.

• Money should not be a problem for a great submission. No body
gets excluded.

• Support the great effort people do on their spare time developing
free software.

• We want to provide attenders with the best event possible.

• We are looking for sponsors that let us do the next:

• Do video streaming during the workshop.

• Record the workshop. All talks will be made public.

• Support travel expenses to our speakers.

• Give a price to the winner of the benchmarking game.
